2015 Events Ltr - Kaurilands School

Dear Whānau

Coming up in 2015 are a number of fundraising events for our school. You will have
noticed we are not having our annual fair this year but our new PTA group – Te
Whānau Āwhina – are organising some alternative exciting events.
We are very interested to hear from you if you have or work in a business which
would be in a position to sponsor any of our events or donate items for auction..
These events are: Movie Nights, Comedy Night and the main fundraising event of
the year The Quiz Night/Auction.
The Kaurilands community is hugely diverse with amazing skills, talents, services
and products to offer each other. We are open to any suggestions, some you
wouldn’t normally consider.
Items for fundraising could be: donated tradespeople hours, adventure tourism
packages, beach/bach holidays, artwork, sports gear, sports days eg rounds of golf,
personal training sessions, hire company services, health & beauty items or
services; tutoring, landscaping and gardening services, travel opportunities, lessons
for kids, TV/Music/Film industry, food/beverage suppliers and many more.
Please consider if there is something you could do for our school. So many of you
do this already, so generously. It would be amazing if we could build on our already
solid base and go even further.
We have some big projects happening around the school which need your support.
These are:
Astroturf;
Garden to Table remodel of Dental Clinic into a multipurpose space
Shade sails and other outdoor projects.
Look forward to seeing you all around school and at some of the events this year.
