In Loving Memory Of Dorothy Ann Miller
Dorothy Ann Miller Dorothy Ann Miller was born March 19, 1947, to John and Katherine Plaggemeyer in Strasburg, ND. She lived in Pollock, SD, moving to Sturgis with her family when she was 13. Dorothy married Walter Conway. To this marriage, three children were born; Walter, Ronald, and Kathryn. While her kids were growing up, Dorothy was also like a second mother to many of their friends. She always had a funny story to tell about her children and their friends and cousins. In 1985, Dorothy met Robert Miller. They were married in 1987. That same year, a son, Jaread, was born. Dorothy had an undying devotion to family, especially the young children. They could always find comfort in her arms, especially when being scolded by their parents. Her gentle touch and laid-back attitude gave you a sense of comfort when in her presence. Dorothy passed away on her 68th birthday, March 19, 2015, after a very short battle with cancer. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Walter (Donna) Conway, Rapid City, Ronald Conway, Sturgis, Kathryn Hulbert, Sturgis, and Jaread (Amy) Miller, New Salem, ND; four brothers, Jim (Vanessa) Plaggemeyer, Neil (Nancy) Plaggemeyer, Larry (Connie) Plaggemeyer, and Lloyd (Cindy) Plaggemeyer; sister-in-law, Julie Plaggemeyer; nine grandchildren, Cassandra Conway, Janie Conway, Tasha Conway, Jennifer Mertz, Kiley Vansickle, Hannah Conway, Shauna Hulbert, and Kolter and Kasyn Miller; nine great-grandchildren; special someone, great-niece, Kim; and numerous nieces and nephews. In Loving Memory Of Dorothy Ann Miller 1947 ~ 2015 In Loving Memory Of Dorothy Ann Miller Born March 19, 1947 Strasburg, North Dakota Died March 19, 2015 Rapid City, South Dakota I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free I’m following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found the peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys - A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief - Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee - God wanted me now: He set me free.
