Securing Mayor’s Permit (Business Permit) A Mayor’s Permit (or Business Permit) is a document issued to any person who shall establish, operate or conduct any business, trade or activity within the city. Such document will be approved only after submission of preliminary requirements, payment of necessary taxes and fees imposed thereon, and upon verification, certification or approval of the different signatories stipulated in the application form for business permit. Additional requirements may be required especially for CONTACT INFORMATION those businesses which require registration/clearance/authorization/certification from certain regulating government agencies. Processing of Mayor’s or Business Permit should be undertaken by the business owner himself/herself or by his/her duly authorized representative. The application forms for New Business will be available at the Barangay Halls, Koronadal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (KCCI), Association of Bookkeepers, City Hall Front Desk, BPLS Customer’s Lounge and downloadable from City of Koronadal Web Page. Application form for renewal of business/mayor’s permit in the succeeding year will be provided or requested immediately upon full payment of all LGU fees/charges and business taxes in the current year. Application form should be properly filled out by the applicant/s and copy of all requirements should be attached for fast processing of Permit. Internal or backroom processing scheme will be undertaken by the assigned Staff from Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD) for certain steps as identified by the Business Permit and Licensing System-Technical Working Group (BPLS-TWG) and/or Simplification Management/Project Teams (SM/PT) except payment of fees/charges and taxes. The said processing scheme will be applied for new business registration and renewal of business permit. The LGU Offices/Government agencies identified for internal or backroom processing scheme are as follows; a) Zoning Division-CPDO (locational clearance), b) CTO (assessment of capitalization/gross sales), c) Internet Operations Regulatory Board (IORB Endorsement), d) Market Supervisor’s Office (lease contract), e) CTO (Billing or Tax Order of Payment including release of track/van stickers and occupational ID) and g) City Mayor’s Office/City Administrator’s Office (Signatory/Approval). Businesses without Mayor’s/Business Permit in the preceding year and those non-compliant of post requirements shall undergo the usual process wherein the Pre and Post requirements shall be complied first prior the encoding of business profile and/or issuance of Mayor’s/Business Permit. Application/s for Mayor’s/Business Permit with deficiency on requirements or information/data will be returned immediately to the applicant/s for completion. Further, applications for Mayor’s/Business Permit with complexity based on the business nature and its impact to the community, shall be treated separately and will be referred to certain LGU Office/s or Official/s for appropriate action/clearance prior to the processing of application and encoding of business profile. Copy of Pre-Requirements or Post-Requirements should be attached to the application form and the original copy of the said requirements should be presented to the Business Permit and Licensing Division for verification purposes prior to the encoding and/or preparation/Issuance of Mayor’s/ Business Permit. 2. Business Entities which are qualified to submit Pre-Requirements have the option to comply with and submit the Post-Requirements prior to the encoding and/or Issuance of Business Permit. 3. Zoning Clearance from CPDO-Zoning Division will not be required for the renewal of Business Permit provided that a certain business entity has no changes in business location and no additional line of business. 4. Internal or backroom processing scheme will be undertaken by the concerned government personnel, however, if there are further clarifications from certain government office or lacking requirements thereof, such application will be returned to the applicant for completion or appropriate action. Thus, there may be a possibility of joint inspection for new businesses by the BPLD, Zoning and personnel from concerned government office/s. 5. Businesses found to be non-compliant with the Post Requirements within the prescribed maximum period (90 Calendar Days) and/or during the conduct of the Business Mapping or Joint Inspection by the Inspectorate Teams in the preceding calendar year will undergo the normal process wherein Pre and Post Requirements will be attached/provided or complied with prior to the encoding of business profile and/or Issuance of Business Permit. FEES AND CHARGES: Approach the concerned personnel at the City Treasurer’s Office for the payment of corresponding fees/charges based on the Local Revenue Code and payment of Fire Code Fee.
