Invitation of expression of interest for insuring Loanees
Against death and disability
Kerala State Backward Classes Development Corporation Ltd. (KSBCDC) is a company
fully owned by the Government of Kerala, registered under the Companies Act 1956 on
28/02/1995 with Registered Office at Thiruvananthapuram. The Corporation has offices in all the
14 Districts of the State. KSBCDC implements various schemes for the socio-economic
development of OBCs and Relegious Minorities in the state by way of providing soft loan. Self-
employment loan, Working capital loan, Business Development Loan, Education Loan, Foreign
Employment Loan, Marriage Assistance Loan, Suvarnasree Loan, Consumer Durable Loan,
Swastha griha loan, Vehicle loan and Personal loan are the important schemes of the Corproation.
The annual turn over of the corporation is around Rs. 500 Crores. The Corporation provides loan
to an average of 18000 individual beneficiaries per year.
KSBCDC invites expression of interest from reputed Insurance Companies for insuring the
loanees of the Corporation against death and disability. The loan disbursed from all District/Sub
District offices of the Corporation comes under the scope of the scheme. The insurance shall be
done for the entire repayment period (From 60 to 84 months). If the loanee happens to die or
disable for earning lively hood during the period of loan, the entire outstanding loan with interest
as on date of the death/disability shall be paid by the Insurance Company to the Corporation.
Interested insurance companies may submit their expression of interst with details of the scheme
and premium amount to the undersigned on or before 20th May 2015. More details is given in our
