Ben says his inspiration is other writer’s and the ability to tell a story. titled “The Waves of Life.” It’s about his relationship with his wife, life in general, and the situations he has encountered. Dear Lisa, I love you like the ocean loves the sand. Our marriage is like a boat. It’s sturdy but small in the waves of life. Our boat may rick but the sails will never sink. There might be a little water in our boat but That is ok because our boat will weather Every storm every wave. Madonna W., a Bridgeview writer since March, says writing is an expression of your thoughts, all jumbled up in your head and expressing them so you can see them versus just trying to think about them. Madonna says her inspiration comes from hearing loss and experiencing things differently. Her piece is titled “Breathe.” Eyes close, feel the nose. Cool air in, warm air out. Slowly, deeply, meaningful. Relaxing, calming, sending out Worries away. The wind in the air catching the Troubles of the day. Finally when done, to open our eyes and carry on our way.
