JOB POSTING: MARKETING AND SPECIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR JOB POSTING JOB CLASSIFICATION: Exempt – Under review JOB TITLE: Marketing and Special Projects Coordinator HOURS PER WEEK: 35 JOB STATUS: Permanent Full-time. As needed, including evenings and weekends. SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director, Business and Development, the Marketing and Special Projects Coordinator will play an integral role in the library’s brand management. The position takes responsibility of managing the library’s internal and external print and digital communications, marketing campaigns, website and assists with community relations, events and special projects that support the organization’s advancement. This position also assists the Development Office with its ongoing daily priorities including tracking of donations, sponsorship and bequests and analytical data using our donor data base as well as our patron data base. QUALIFICATIONS: Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications or related field Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Graphic Design, Event Management or Public Relations skills is considered an asset Good interpersonal skills to work in a team environment maintaining harmonious relations with staff and a culturally diverse public community Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in similar role, preferably in a non-profit environment Proven computer literacy including all Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer software, e-mail marketing, social media platforms, video and graphic design tools quickly Ability to multi task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment Strong administrative, time management and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail JOB POSTING: MARKETING AND SPECIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR Idea person, proactive thinker, compassionate with a solution oriented customer-focused mentality Comfortable in public speaking and presenting Fluency in English and ability to speak other languages is an asset Proven high level of trust and integrity in safeguarding financial information associated with organization’s development efforts SALARY: Under review POSTING DATE: May 15, 2015 CLOSING DATE: May 29, 2015 A Police Record Check, with Vulnerable Sector Screening, is a condition of employment.
