In 2015, Logan County Electric Cooperative will elect trustees from District 1 (Stokes and Bloomfield Townships) and District 4 (Lake, Jefferson, Perry, Monroe and Zane Townships). Members may vote for only one candidate from each district. District 1 Lanny Davis is a retired farmer who has been a cooperative member for 54 years. He has served as a Stokes Township Trustee, on the Indian Lake EMS Board and a LCEC co-op board member for 30 years. Lanny has completed coursework to attain the Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate as well as the Board Leadership Certificate. Lanny believes EPA regulations could mean higher electric bills and is concerned new memberships have not grown in last 4 or 5 years. He is proud to be a member of an organization that continues to have a very high satisfaction rate with the community. David Campbell is a retired school administrator and farmer who has been a cooperative member for 42 years. He has served on the JVS Board, as President of the Logan County Education Service Center and Board of Elections Worker. David believes the trustee board needs to be a strong voice in the community and to support the principles of LCEC. He values providing affordable electricity from coal facilities and renewable sources of energy and offering valuable programs to LCEC members. District 4 Larry Park is a semi-retired farmer who has been a cooperative member for 55 years. He has served on Lake Twp Zoning Board and a LCEC co-op board member for 30 years. Larry has completed coursework to attain the Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate as well as the Board Leadership Certificate. Larry believes in keeping dependable and affordable power available for LCEC members. He desires to be involved with the staff, other board members and organizations to represent the wishes of the membership. Janet Blank is a retired pharmacist and business owner who has been a cooperative member for 19 years. She has taught English to adults with an international background, served as docent to the Logan County Historical Society and the Logan County Genealogical Library, and was advisor to the Ohio Republican Youth Delegation for Ronald Reagen at the RNC in Detroit. Janet believes in creating a practical balance between fossil fuel and renewable energy to provide economically sound service and having a fiscally sound co-op by planning short and long-term measures. Brian Gray is an IT Specialist for the Department of Defense. He is a credentialed as a Oracle Certified Professional and Comp TIA Security+ Certified. Brian believes in making sure members get cost effective reliable electricity and keeping EPA standards realistic with today’s technology. He values teaching members about energy conservation and looking for new cost effective renewable energy sources.
