Quality illumination where you need it most - Barricade 2 is designed for kitchens,
bathrooms, home offices, retail stores or any residential or commercial area that requires
high brightness/high colour rendering task-light illumination.
Use the Barricade 2 to eliminate fire risk associated with Halogen lamps and reduce your
energy consumption at the same time. No heat shield is required.
The Barricade 2 is supplied with the Fast-Fit® Driver Holder. This device allows rapid
installation of the Barricade 2 through the ceiling cutout, while lifting the driver above the
insulation thermal zone. When installed according to instructions in the user manual,
Barricade 2 does not require a heat shield and complies with AS3000 Amendment 2. This
is a significant labour saving feature for installers and, when the cost of a heat shield is
considered, adds up to very worthwhile savings on installation costs.

Not all dimmable LED downlights are created the same!
The Lumitex Barricade 2 allows ultra-low dimming for all lighting applications. Unlike many LED downlights
sold today that dim to only 20%, the Barricade 2 dims smoothly to black when used with a Lumitex® precision
rotary dimmer, standard Clipsal® Universal rotary dimmer or Clipsal® C-Bus® Universal module. This precise
lighting control means that moving to LED does not mean a step backwards for your lighting comfort.

Shuts out spiders, insects and dust while keeping cool/warm air in.
Ordinary gimballed downlights (both LED and Halogen) can allow dust, insulation fibres and bugs into your
home. Gimbal gaps also allow heated air to escape into your roofspace during winter, costing you money. The
Barricade 2 LED downlight keeps the nasties out and the air in – Insist on a Barricade 2!
About Colour Rendering - Artificial light can alter our perception of colours. The Colour Rendering Index
(CRI) was devised as a method of comparison and operates on a scale of up to 100. CRI above 80 is
considered “very good”. The Barricade 2 has a CRI of 93+.
Cyanosis observation rated - The Barricade 2 4000K model has a Cyanosis Observation Index of 1.23,
making it suitable for AS/NZS 1680.2.5 compliant installations in hospitals and other medical applications.
