Russ has built a career partnering with the

Atlanta and the Southeast to make great real
estate decisions.
He understands optimal real estate is
realized by not only achieving creative lease
terms and favorable pricing, but also
ensuring that the facility will mirror a
business’ operational, labor and strategic
needs. As one of Colliers International
Atlanta’s senior principals, Russ guides his
clients through this process. He understands
the business goals of his client, defines
workplace requirements, maps desired labor
markets, outlines budget parameters, and
presents options that best reflect the
branding and strategy of his clients.
Russ is the quarterback of the process,
bringing team members with needed
expertise to execute on the plan. Russ’
attention to detail, deep understanding of his
clients’ business, holistic leadership, and
industry expertise create loyal clients and
make him a leader in his field.
During the past 30 years, Russ has
completed transactions totaling more than
four and a half million square feet for clients
such as DS Services, General Electric
Corporation, Birch Communications, The
Hartford, Miller & Martin Law Firm, Georgia
Society for CPAs, IMG Worldwide, and Crown
Castle International.

Business and educational
background
Prior to joining Colliers in 1990, Russ worked
for CB Richard Ellis and Portman Barry
Investments, Inc. Russ served as an Infantry
Squad leader in the United States Army and
did a one-year combat tour in Vietnam. He
was awarded a bronze star commendation
medal. Russ graduated from the University of
Miami with a B.A. in Marketing.
Community involvement
Russ is an active member of the Atlanta
Commercial Board of Realtors and is a
featured panelist/speaker on commercial real
estate topics. He has also been a repeat
panelist for the Georgia Society of CPAs Real
Estate Education Conference Program. Russ
also consults on a regular basis with the
Cumberland Improvement District (CID).
Russ is a board member, the past program
chairman, and 2015 President for the Georgia
Chapter of the Society of Industrial and
Office Realtors (SIOR), where membership is
earned by tenured performance and
adherence to premier ethical standards.
Russ is an Executive Board Member of the
Atlanta Vietnam Veteran’s Business
Association, past board member of the
Ansley Park Civic Association, and past
co-chairman of the Membership Committee
at the Ansley Golf Club. He is an active
corporate campaign member for the
Woodruff Arts Center 2015 season. He is
also an active member of the Peachtree
Christian Church.
