Coming Next Week in Worship
Pastor Clay would like everyone to read this passage through the week:
Luke 24: 36-48 What does this passage say
about God? About following Jesus? Read it slowly. Spend some time with it this week.

be ready to start at 10:00 am. Wear your Main Street Youth t-shirt and a hat. You must provide your own transportation.
Coming Soon! UMW Yard Sale & Bazaar
Save the Date April 25, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
This is your opportunity to donate your unneeded household items and books (less than 10 years old) to the UMW Yard
Sale & Bazaar. Please deliver your items to the church on Friday, April 24. The yard sale does NOT include large
exercise equipment, furniture or clothing. Please remember to include any crafts or art work that you have created, as
well as baked goods from your kitchen. This is your chance to make spring housecleaning a contribution to the work of
Main Street United Methodist Women. If you have any questions, please contact Judy von Bernuth, 540-946-0023 or
judyvonb69@gmail.com Thank you for your participation in this event!
Birthing Kits
Little things mean a lot — especially when those little things are brought together as United Methodist Committee on
Relief (UMCOR) kits. Birthing kits are among the items most requested by our overseas partners each year. All you need
to do is to write a check payable to UMW for $9.00, put birthing kit on the memo line, and drop it in the collection plate.
The Social Concerns Circle will purchase the materials and assemble the kits. Thank you very much! The need is great!
Stop Hunger Now Event, April 18
April 18, LARCUM churches will participate in putting together meals for the hungry in the world at Expo for Stop Hunger
Now. Main Street will be raising $2500 for the meals. If you make out a check, please make it out to Main Street and
note on the memo line of the check and the envelope that the money is designated for Stop Hunger Now. If you plan to
participate on April 18, please sign your connection card. You will need to be at Augusta Expo and ready to begin at 10:00
am. Please wear a hat.
Church Softball
There will be church softball at Barrenridge Fields on Sunday, April 12 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the lower field and on April 19
from 4:00-6:00 pm at the upper field. Please mark your calendar for May 11-17 when our church will be responsible for
the concession stand.
