Summary of Work
Responsible for administration of Medicaid, the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, and
Home and Community-Based Services. The Division has approximately 60 full time staff who are
responsible for policy development, program administration, utilization review, and implementation of
federal and state laws. Oversee a biennial budget of $2 billion.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and eight years of senior management level experience in the
administration of Medicaid programs, other major human service funding or reimbursement programs
(such as Public Assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Child Support
Enforcement); OR a bachelor’s degree and eight years of senior level management experience in
health care administration including extensive experience with Medicaid regulations and
reimbursement. Experience must have included supervision of professional level staff, budget
building and budget management. This experience must be included in a resume or the job
