Labiner, MD David M. Labiner, MD, is a Professor of Neurology at The University of Arizona College of Medicine, and a Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Science at The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. Dr. Labiner received his BA in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.and his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 1984. Time: 11 am Topic: Drug Interactions and Side Effects Michael Katz, PharmD Dr. Katz will discuss how interactions between drugs and common foods can affect drug levels in the body. He will also discuss drug side effects & supplements that can be taken to counteract some side effects. Michael D. Katz, PharmD, has been with the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science since 1979. Dr. Katz serves as clinical pharmacist at University Medical Center. PCOA (Pima Council on Aging) is committed to helping older adults & people with disabilities enhance their physical, emotional and social well-being through access to affordable, high-quality programs and services. Adina Wingate, director of marketing and communications at PCOA, will present a snapshot about the scope of PCOA programs and services in Tucson and partnerships with allied community partners.
