Donation Letter 2015 - Martin & Hillyer Associates

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Valued Community Supporters:
At Martin & Hillyer Associates we are delighted to announce our partnership with Nelson Youth Centres Burlington for our 2015 Bowl-A-Thon. We will donate all proceeds raised by this event to Nelson Youth
Centres- Burlington. The Centre is an accredited children's mental health centre that provides a rich array
of therapeutic group programs for children and youth and parent support services to support the emotional
and social well-being of children and youth while strengthening families in the community. Past recipients of
this donation have included Food4Kids, BIAPH (Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton) City Kidz,
Woodview – Children’s Mental Health and Autism Services, Wayside House of Hamilton, Joseph Brant
Memorial Hospital MRI Fund, Autism Ontario - Halton and the Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children.
There are two reasons for our letter.
Firstly, we are kindly requesting donations of the following sort:
a)
A Gift Donation – This can include gift certificates, raffle items and/or silent auction items. In
the past, these items have contributed significantly to the amount of proceeds raised for the
designated charity. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated!
b)
Sponsor a Lane – A sign with your business name will be placed in a highly visible area
above a designated lane in the bowling alley. Signs will be in place several days before the
night of the event for some additional exposure. There are a limited number of lanes
available for sponsorship so get your request in early! (Should you choose this option; a
minimum cash donation of $200.00 is kindly required.)
c)
A Cash Donation – It goes without saying, we welcome and appreciate any cash donations.
Please make your cheque payable to Martin & Hillyer – Charity Bowl-A-Thon. We also
accept VISA and MasterCard. See enclosed donation form for details.
Should you wish to make a donation to our event, we would ask that you complete the attached
form and fax it (or mail it with your enclosed cheque) to the attention of Leah May on or before
April 30th, 2015. One of our committee members will then contact you to co-ordinate pick-up of your
donation, if necessary. On request, tax receipts can be provided for any cash donations.
Secondly, we would be delighted if you, your colleagues or friends and family could join us by organizing a
team of bowlers to participate in the event on Thursday, May 7th! You may have up to 6 bowlers on a lane.
You are welcome to organize your own full team of 6 or register individually and we’ll be happy to place you
with a team. In either scenario the cost is $25.00 per bowler. This cost includes two hours of bowling and
shoe rental. We also invite you to participate in the evening’s events such as the silent auction, brown bag
raffle and other exciting fundraising events!

If you, as an individual or team, are interested in bowling, please complete the attached registration form
and return it along with the registration fee to our office on or before April 30th, 2015.
