VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES
This is a special Competition open to any AKC conformation champion dog or
bitch over 7 years of age.
All varieties of dogs will be judged first as one class, followed by all varieties
of bitches, which will be judged as the second class. The winners of those two
respective classes will compete for Best in Veteran Sweeps Competition and
Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Veteran Sweeps Competition.
Entrants in this special competition will not be eligible to compete for Best of
Variety competition. The fee for this competition is published on Page 2 of
this premium list. If further Competition is desired (ie Best of Variety) the
entry fee for additional classes will apply as published on Page 2 of this premium.
NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS
Telegraph, telephone and unsigned Entries Cannot be Accepted. Entries Not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules
on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

48030. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Secretary to
which you sent your entries. E-mail confirmations will be sent IF you include your Email address on the entry form.
Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to: The Mid-Michigan Cocker Spaniel
Club, Inc. Canadian exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. Funds. Please mail
checks or money orders with entries. Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for
cash sent through the mail.
Entry fees shall not be refunded after the closing date of the Show.
Post Dated Checks or Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show
Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
Owners are responsible for the accuracy of all information on their entry form.
Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog and the Show
Secretary and Show giving Club disclaim any liability for each cash prize after the
judging of the breed is completed.
Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required
for further judging will be excused. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class.
Owners or agents are responsible for the presence of their dogs in a judging ring when
their classes are called to be judged.
Building will be secured at 11 p.m. each night and will be re-opened at 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. There will be NO SMOKING permitted inside the Kennel Club
Building and this rule will be STRICTLY enforced by the show committee.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Puppy Sweepstakes shall be for puppies eligible for regular classes. The judging
in each sex and variety shall be:
6 months and under 9 months
9 months and under 12 months
Each sex and age group will be judged separately. The Sweepstakes entry fee is
listed on page 2 of this premium List and each puppy in Sweepstakes must be entered
in the "Regular Classes" at this show with "Sweepstakes" noted in the "Additional
Classes" box of the Official AKC Entry form.

STRIPPED SWEEPSTAKES
This is a special Stripped Competition open to any AKC conformation
champion dog or bitch.
Length of hair cannot be longer than 1 1/2 inches on any portion of the body,
with the exception of the ears where there will be no length requirement.
This requirement will be STRICTLY enforced.
The judging will be conducted by the Puppy Sweepstakes judge.
All varieties of dogs will be judged first as one class, followed by all varieties of bitches, which will be judged as the second class. The winners of
those two respective classes will compete for Best in Stripped Competition
and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Stripped Competition.
The Show Site will be available to exhibitors for move in on Friday, March
20th, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dogs WILL BE permitted in the building
overnight, but NO on-site security will be provided.
RAFFLE
A RAFFLE will be held during the shows to support our club’s rescue efforts.
Please be sure to check out the variety of goodies on the raffle table and contribute to this worthy cause.
PUPPY MATCH
A puppy match will be held on Saturday evening at the show site. Entries will
be taken the day of the match. Questions concerning the puppy match can be

DINNER
We welcome everyone to dinner on Saturday evening at the show site. Dinner
will be a pot luck courtesy of the Mid-Michigan Cocker Spaniel Club, Inc. and
its members. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass or just join us for dinner!!!!

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP
AKC Junior Handler Number is now required for entry in Junior Showmanship
Competition. Numbers May be Obtained from the AKC—Phone 919-816-3776
The regular Junior Showmanship Classes shall be:
Novice. This shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18
years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won
three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
 Junior Class—shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years
old and under 12 years old on the day of the show.
 Intermediate Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 12
years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show
 Senior Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 15 years
old and under 18 years old on the day of the show.
Open. This class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place
awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club® are limited to competing in the Open
Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records.
 Junior Class—shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years
old and under 12 years old on the day of the show.
 Intermediate Class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 12
years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show
