PROSPECTIVE CHEERLEADERS: Momence High School Cheerleading Tryouts will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Details are available in the office, so please sign up and pick up a packet! SENIORS: Please stop in the Guidance office and let Mrs. Allen know where you will be attending college after graduation. This information is being used for the Commencement program. CAST OF SPRING PLAY: Remember that this week, April 2023, is tech week! Rehearsals will be from 4:30-8:00, all week. This is MANDATORY. Friday, 4/24, please be here at 5pm. PROM SLIDE SHOW (Seniors): - Just a reminder to seniors interested in submitting photos for the slide show at prom, please get a baby picture, middle school picture, and senior picture turned into either Mrs. Ader or Vicky Rogers as soon as possible. Please put all photos in a zip-lock bag with your name on it. Photos will be returned after they have been scanned. See Mrs. Ader or Vicky Rogers with questions or concerns. ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING PROM: Photo forms are now in the office. Please pick one up. PROM TICKETS: Tickets for this year's prom (A Night Under the City Lights) are on sale now through Thursday, April 23rd in the office. The cost of each ticket is $40. Students must submit all necessary date forms, etc. before they may purchase tickets. This year's prom is being held on May 2nd at the Majestic Theater in downtown Kankakee. Please see Mrs. Bleyle if you have any questions or concerns regarding the purchase of prom tickets. ALL STUDENTS: Prom dance forms are now available in the office. Dance forms need to be turned in on or before April 23. No late forms will be accepted due to having to let the caterer know. PROM COURT (Seniors): Any senior interested in being on Prom Court should stop and see Mrs. Bleyle in the office to sign up. Voting for Prom Court will take place during 5th hour on Thursday, April 23rd. Prom Court will be announced on Friday, April 24th. The King and Queen will be announced at coronation on Prom night. See Mrs. Ader or Mrs. Bleyle with questions or concerns regarding Prom Court. NHS STUDENTS: All forms and money for the NHS induction banquet must be turned in no later than Tuesday, April 21, to Mr. Stuart. SENIORS: The Momence Chamber of Commerce will award a $1,000 scholarship to a student who has volunteered in the Momence community. Applications are in the guidance office. The Momence Chamber of Commerce must receive your application by May 11, 5:00pm. STUDENTS: Can you type 45 words per minute, if so, with the use modern technology you have the ability to type up to 225 words per minute and be a Court Reporter. Court Reporters and stenographers are in high demand and a Court Reporter earns and average of $64,000 per year with a 2 year college degree. If would like to learn more about this career, sign up in the guidance office to see a presentation from South Suburban Community College next Tuesday during 7th period.
