Room assignment list is also posted in the foyer. • There will be NO English worship at MPCBC next Sun 5/24. • If you are interested in buying church sweatshirt or T-shirt for the retreat, please contact Janet Chung after service. The samples are displayed in the foyer. Repaving Concrete Project: • The repaving concrete project will be started next week. From TODAY 2:00pm to 5/30 Sat, there will be NO vehicles or activities should be at the areas of the driveway and in front of the Ed. Annex. If you need help to access the church facility for worship or other meeting, please contact Pastor Mark or Shelley Tam. Thanks for your cooperation! Pianist Needed: • We are seeking pianist to serve in both Cantonese and Mandarin Service. Please contact Denise Fong for more information. Anger Management Class: • We are planning to have the anger management class at church. It will be providing you guideline & technique to manage your anger. Pastor Mark is the certified instructor to conduct the class. If you are interested in joining or any question or need more details, please contact Pastor Mark. Council Meeting Cancellation: • Today’s Council Meeting will be postponed until further announcement. Financial Report: • The April report is posted in the foyer. You may also pick up a copy in the church office. Youth Fellowship: Discipleship – 2 Timothy 2:1-2; John 8:31 English Ministry Potluck Fellowship: Fri 5/22 We value discipleship that leads to authentic life change. It is our goal to develop followers of Christ who grow and live in the knowledge of Him and His teachings. • Following Christ. Loving People. Sharing Christ. Making Disciples. Core Values: Christ as the Head of the Church – Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-21 We value Christ as the head of our lives and as the foundation of our church. Biblical Teaching – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Timothy 4:2 We value Biblical teaching because the Holy Bible is the complete, inerrant and infallible word of God to all mankind. It is the foundation of our beliefs and it is proclaimed from our pulpit, taught in our classes and honored by our obedience. Worship- Romans 12:1 We value worship that draws us closer to God’s presence. Whether whispering our personal desires for him or passionately singing his praise, we declare God is worthy. Prayer – Matthew 6:9-13, Philippians 4:6, 19 We value prayer as our means of communicating intimately and reverently with God. Evangelism – Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20 We value Evangelism because we love people and want to see them come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. Community –Acts 2:44-47 We value a sense of community in order to develop relationships that nurture, support and teach others to be Christ-like. • Due to church retreat & church anniversary celebration, next English Ministry Pot-Luck Lunch and Small group Bible study th will be held on 7/26 (4 Sun). We are also looking for some adult (able to drive volunteers) to accompany us to the concert. Sunday Breakfast: • Coffee & continental breakfast items are available from 8:45-10:45am every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall entry area. Prayer: • Kitty Leung went to be with the Lord last Sun 5/10. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00pm today in Memorial Chapel, Rose Hills Memorial Park.
