Literacy Endhaven Summer Fun For Future Fourth Graders! Read a Nancy Drew book, Hardy Boys book, or any mystery. Write a few paragraphs describing the story and how the mystery was solved. (Complete at least 15 activities and turn in at the start of the school year for a prize.) Sign up for the summer reading program with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library at http://www.cmlibrary.org /summerread and/or sign up for the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge at http://www.scholastic.co m/ups/campaigns/src2015. Think about a perfect summer day. Write a persuasive paragraph and convince an adult to make your dream come true. Read a nonfiction book. Write a paragraph explaining the book. Create a poster about one of your friends. Include a picture and words that give information about your friend. Go through a magazine and find 5 pictures of things you will need to get before school starts. Explain why you will need each item. Write a paragraph to your future teacher. In that paragraph describe yourself. Write 10 questions you would like to ask your new teacher.
