The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is a State Corporation established under the
National Treasury pursuant to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act No. 40 of 2011. The primary
mandate of the Authority is to obtain unclaimed financial assets from the holders of such assets on
behalf of the Government, safeguard and re-unite the assets with their rightful owners. UFAA
invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:
MANAGER, AUDIT & RISK - Job Ref: UFAA/01/2015
JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Board Audit Committee functionally and administratively to the CEO, s/he will be
responsible for:
• Ensuring the integrity of the Authority assets, quality of management decisions and
mitigation of fraud and risk through the existence of appropriate internal controls and
systems
• Developing and reviewing internal audit manual and enforcing compliance with acceptable
standards
• Developing and implementing internal audit strategies and operating plans that reflect the
long term corporate goals and priorities established by the Authority
• Working closely with external auditors on time frames for the annual statutory audits, preaudits activities, and the implementation of audit recommendation
• Carrying out risk assessment and internal audits on computers and other operating
systems to ensure reliability of financial and operating information, and advising the Board
and management on corrective action
(Note: This position is on a contract of four (4) years renewable subject to performance)
PERSON PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Accounting Option),
Commerce, Finance or any other related field from a university recognized by the
Commission for University Education
• Masters Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance,
Management or any other relevant field
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) K or Certified
Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Membership to a professional body
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible management experience in Auditing, 3 of
which must be at senior management level
• Proven experience in undertaking internal audits of organisations
MANAGER, FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING Job Ref: UFAA/02/2015
JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, s/he will be responsible for:• Coordinating financial functions of the Authority and ensuring compliance with financial
standards and regulations for operational excellence of the Authority
• Coordinating the budget formulation, preparation, execution, accounting and reporting
• Ensuring appropriate and adequate financial management policies and information systems
are in place
• Advising the Authority on all accounting and financial matters
• Designing and developing the Authority’s accounting and financial systems

PERSON PROFILE

SENIOR AUDITOR, UNCLAIMED FINANCIAL ASSETS (CLAIMS) -Job Ref: UFAA/03/2015
JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Manager, Unclaimed Financial Assets, the Senior Auditor (Claims), will be
responsible for facilitating the return of unclaimed financial assets to the rightful owners as may be
surrendered to the Authority by the holders. Specifically, he/she will be:• Coordinating activities of the unclaimed financial assets claims office
• Coordinating search for owners of unclaimed financial assets, or of deceased individuals
leaving no known heirs
• Providing appropriate information to claimants on assets held by the Authority
• Receiving and directing processing of claims, according to results of investigation or other
evidence of ownership
• Preparing unclaimed financial assets claims annual reports
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing staff under him/her.

SENIOR AUDITOR, UNCLAIMED FINANCIAL ASSET (HOLDER) -Job Ref: UFAA/04/2015
JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Manager, Unclaimed Financial Assets, the Senior Auditor (Holder), will be
responsible forprotecting the interests and property rights of the beneficiary unclaimed financial
assets. He/she will promote and strengthen the unclaimed financial assets administration in order
to enhance the return of such unclaimed financial assets to the rightful owners and provide a forum
for the open exchange of information. Specifically, s/he will be:• Assisting holders of unclaimed financial assets with matters including compliance, annual
reporting, developing policies and procedures, and consulting,
• Auditing holders of unclaimed financial assets, which includes discussion with holders
auditors and reviewing their requests and assessments.
• Reviewing unclaimed financial asset compliance processes for holders.
• Assisting audit teams with review and analysis of unclaimed financial assets
• Researching and drafting technical memoranda regarding unclaimed assets compliance
rules
• Advising the holders of unclaimed financial assets on the processes to be followed in
making deposits into the Trust Fund and arranging for auctions, depending upon nature of
the unclaimed financial asset.
• Receiving and the holders’ information submitted to the Authority,
• Managing unclaimed financial assets submitted to the Authority.
• Ensuring qualifying holders of unclaimed financial assets surrender them to the Authority

SENIOR CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER- Job Ref: UFAA/05/2015
JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Manager, the Senior Corporate Communications Officer,
will be responsible for ensuring that UFAA achieves its business objectives internally and
externally, building the Authority’s impact and reputation and ensuring its future success.
The post holder will head UFAA’s communications function. The role requires a strategic thinker
with the ability to be hands-on and results-orientated, with proven leadership and successful
management experience, able to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
Specifically, he/she will be:• Initiating, managing and delivering a corporate communications strategy to develop the
Authority’s reputation, brand and relationships, ensuring that there is a clear identity and
goodwill and understanding amongst the various stakeholder groups and public.
• Developing and ensuring the strategic management of stakeholder relationships and
strategies covering the Government, Parliament, professional bodies, all stakeholders,
public and the media.
• Providing a strategic advisory communications function to the Chief Executive Officer,
members of Board and Management supporting them in their roles as ambassadors for the
Authority.
• Accountable for reputation management for the Authority; identifying and prioritizing
emerging issues and handling in a timely manner.

SENIOR STRATEGY/ PLANNING OFFICER - Job Ref: UFAA/06/2015
JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Strategy/ Planning Officer will be responsible
forproviding strategies for current and future growth of an organization by suggesting changes or
improvements to current business plans, policies and procedures. Specifically, he/she will be:• Preparing the organizational performance contract
• Justifying and providing evidence on behalf of the Authority the results of the organizational
performance during evaluation
• Preparing performance contracts for departmental heads
• Monitoring and evaluating departmental performance
• Providing expertise by assisting in the formulation, development, and implementation of
strategies and policies that will enable the Authority achieve its objectives. He/she will
ensure the continued growth and success of the Authority through strategically designing

JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Secretary/ Personal Assistant will be
responsible for providing an efficient and responsive administrative, organizational, and logistical
service to the CEO, helping to manage and prioritize time. Specifically, he/she will be:•
Providing support to the Chief Executive, Directors and management team.
• Managing and maintaining the CEO’s diary.
• Providing full secretarial assistance to the management team and to ensure a high level of
service is maintained.
• Filtering emails, highlight urgent correspondence
• Responding to emails as much as possible, dealing with appointments,

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accountant, will be responsible for:
• Preparing payment vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations;

JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the Procurement Assistant will be responsible for:
• Ensuring timely, efficient and effective procurement of goods, services and works;
• Preparing requisitions for quotations or tenders to prequalified suppliers or the
public;
• Establishing in co-ordination with the relevant department and end-users, quality
specifications of goods and services required by the Corporation;

JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the Manager, Administration and HR, the senior driver, will be responsible for:
• Driving allocated vehicles as authorized;
• Maintaining the work tickets for vehicles assigned;
• Ensuring that the vehicle is in good working condition;
• Maintaining vehicles in presentable and clean state
• Ascertaining the serviceability of assigned vehicle
