June 1, 2015 Chemical manufacturers, importers, distributors, and employers must have new format Safety Data Sheets and Labels in place. (Distributors may not ship without new labels after December 1, 2015.) June 1, 2016 Update workplace labeling and hazard communication program as necessary, and train employees on newly-identified hazards. With the 12/1/13 training deadline past, current employees are familiar with OSHA’s new Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), but new workers will need to be trained and there are more deadlines down the road for employers. By 6/1/2015 the complete program must be implemented throughout facilities (distributors have until 12/1/2015 to apply new labels). Now and in the future, employees must be aware of and able to protect themselves from the hazards they face in the workplace. NMC has a full line-up of products to keep workers informed and safe.
