About Me
Creative and professional, I am a highly experienced editor with an instinctive artistic eye
and a strong sense of narrative and pace. I love my work and I seek to push myself
creatively on every project. I’m happy to work with a Producer/Director or alone and can
work efficiently and at speed to ensure I never miss a deadline. Most of all I am easy to get
on with and bring a huge amount of enthusiasm to every project I work on.
I’ve worked on Avid for my entire career using Avid Media Composer on Unity and Space
systems. I can work in both offline and online environments with the ability to turn rushes
into a fully graded and mixed programme. I also have the ability to create highly stylized,
effect-heavy pieces when required.
I started out my career at True North in Leeds, moving through the editing ranks from
assistant editor. During my six years of editing at True North, I was able to work on a
variety of different programmes, which has enabled me to turn my hand to any project
presented to me.
Throughout my career I have had a strong interest in music and as an assistant I liaised with
various music companies both commercial and library, obtaining music for edits and
building invaluable contacts within the music industry. These are contacts that I have
maintained to this day and I retain a strong knowledge of developments in the music scene
as a result. I believe this is reflected in the wide range of tracks used in my cuts, which is
often picked up on by colleagues.
Having recently gone freelance it has enabled me to branch out into different areas of
programming and I am continually looking for new challenges and to further my career. I
am also willing to travel and can have bases around the country if needed.
