THE NORTH TEXAS BUGLETTE NORTH TEXAS CHAPTER, BUICK CLUB OF AMERICA VOLUME 32, ISSUE 04 OUR 31ST YEAR! APRIL, 2015 This newsletter is the official publication of the North Texas Chapter, Buick Club of America. Articles maybe reprinted or copied provided authorship of the article is given. Please contact The Editor for additional information. The North Texas Chapter is a non-profit organization, chartered by The Buick Club of America. NEXT MEETING: for April, no designated local meeting as MANY will be in Brenham, TX for The BUICKS AND BLUEBONNETS TOUR MAY MEETING > > > > May 9th at The Denny’s Cloudline Farms north of Celeste, TX Noon+30 meal, then meeting COMMENTS FROM THE DIRECTOR We had a nice meeting at Bodacious BBQ in Arlington, last month. A few members “short”, but still a great group of members were there. The Spring Regional Show, aka “Buicks and Bluebonnets Tour”, will be April 10-12, 2015 in Brenham, TX. This should be a fun event to attend. Make your hotel reservations and send in your meet registration soon! This event will serve as our April meeting, as we determined at the January meeting, and reminded everybody of at the March meeting. The majority of those at last month’s meeting indicated they’d be in Brenham. Details for our South Central Regional Fall Meet are in the final stages of being finalized. Thanks to Activities Director Dale Sherman and Treasurer Don Mitchell for getting those things attended to! Same format as the last time we did it, so this one should be as fun to attend as the last one was. In discussing future meetings, due to the timing of the BCA National Meet in June, it looks like we’ll “pass” on having a formal meeting that month, too. MANY of our members will be in Springfield for that event, the same weekend as our normal chapter meeting. This will be the closest-to-us BCA National Meet, other than the ones we hosted, in a long time . . . so the opportunity is there for “a short trip north” this year. The Bluebonnets have “popped”, as the grass is now much greener than it used to be. Just as the buds on the trees have “popped” with leaves and other colorful blooms. Even if it’s 80 degrees outside, a nice time to get your Buick(s) out and enjoy the beauty that is Spring. Even some of the weeds look nice. Willis Bell THIS MONTH’S MEETING We might all get together in Brenham, maybe for a meal, but no formal meeting scheduled this month. Next month, we’ll be the guests of Col. Rex Denny and his family at their Cloudline Farms residence, north of Celeste. MINUTES OF THE MARCH 14, 2014 MEETING The North Texas Chapter, BCA meeting was held at Bodacious BBQ in Arlington, TX with 17 people in attendance.
