SUMMER TRANSFER FASET Orientation REGISTRATION INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TRANSFER FASET SESSION* International students attending Georgia Tech must provide the following documents to the Office of International Education (OIE) during orientation prior to course registration: a valid passport, I-94 form (you will receive this form on the plane prior to landing in the United States), and an I-20 or DS-2019 form (with proof of health insurance). If you are transferring from another U.S. institution to Georgia Tech, you will receive an email with instructions from OIE regarding the transfer of your I-20 or DS-2019 form. *Please note: Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. MEDICAL RECORDS FASET (Familiarization and Adaptation to the Surroundings and Environs of Tech) registration opens online Tuesday, April 7, at 1 p.m. (EST) at www.nssp.gatech.edu. You will receive an online confirmation after you complete the registration process. Call the FASET Orientation Office at 404.894.6897 with questions. THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 28, 2015, at 4 p.m. (EST). Thursday, May 7, 2015 — Check-in 8 - 8:45 a.m. COST* Student Fee..................................................................................$105 (includes all FASET materials, breakfast, lunch, and welcome activities) Parent/Guest Fee...........................................................................$65 (includes all FASET materials, Parent Calendar, breakfast, and lunch) *Please note: Scholarships, including HOPE, do not cover orientation fees. WHAT TO BRING •All correspondence from Georgia Tech. •Unofficial transcripts and course syllabi/descriptions from other colleges or universities you have attended (to assist in advisement and clarify questions related to transfer credit). •Copy of all Medical Entrance Forms. •Casual clothes, including sweater or light jacket, as activities will take place both outdoors and within air-conditioned rooms. •Comfortable walking shoes — you will be walking around campus. •Umbrella. All students entering Georgia Tech are required to submit their immunization information to satisfy the Board of Regents immunization requirements. It is highly recommended that the requirements be completed with your family physician or at Georgia Tech’s Stamps Health Services prior to starting classes. All immunization requirements and related forms may be found at www.health.gatech.edu by clicking on Immunization Requirements. Please read the information carefully and submit forms by downloading and entering information according to instructions. PARENTS/GUESTS Attending FASET is a great way for parents, guardians, and other guests to learn ways to support their student through his or her Tech experience. To address concerns or questions they may have, parents and guests will have opportunities to talk with current students, faculty, staff, and other parents. They will also learn about the resources, services, and opportunities available to them as well as their student. The cost is $65 per person for the one-day parent and guest program. STUDENT HOUSING FAMILIES: STAY CONNECTED! FINAL TRANSCRIPTS CANCELLATION POLICY Students who will live on campus summer semester can check into their residence hall starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. If you have additional questions regarding move-in, visit www.housing. gatech.edu or call 404.894.2470. If you are not going to live on campus but need accommodations for the evening prior to or following Transfer FASET, visit www.nssp.gatech.edu for local hotels. By the time you arrive at Transfer FASET, you must have submitted all final transcripts for all prior coursework to the Office of Undergraduate Admission. For contact information, visit www.admission.gatech.edu. You should bring your unofficial transcripts with you, including any current coursework and official AP scores. STUDENTS/GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES Please indicate on your FASET reservation form whether you or anyone in your party has needs relating to a disability and we will connect you with our Office of Disability Services. The information you provide will supplement your student’s emergency contact information and ensure that you receive timely information from the Parents Program about important campus news, on- and off-campus events, volunteer opportunities, and more. All cancellations must be made in writing at least 10 business days in advance of your session for a refund of the registration fee, less a $25 administration fee. To request a refund, email faset@vpss.gatech.edu. DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INFORMATION Find directions and parking information at www.faset.gatech.edu. On-campus FASET parking will be available only in the Student Center Parking Deck. Once you park, you should not need to move your car again since you will check in at the Student Center Commons.
