Ernie’s Lap – May 26th
The NVRA had a great showing at the Cochran Speedway race on May 24th, 2015. We had a total of 13
cars take part in the event. With this race being a Memorial Day special event, this was a standing room
only full house! The stands were full of race fans and our drivers came to race, putting on a great show!
The NVRA tent was standing tall accepting new members, selling racing fuel raffle tickets, & t-shirts. The
club had two new members join, bringing our grand total to 35 and growing.
Next race will be at Talladega Short Track on June 6, 2015. We have been advised that, if you plan to
spend the night, stay somewhere in Oxford, Alabama. That will be about 10 minutes from the track.

Thanks to the drivers, owners, & crew that support these events. Thanks to the Race Director, Richard
Stafford for holding the driver’s meeting and for lining the cars up in their starting positions. Special
thanks to Bobby Shepherd for his help at the Cochran event. Also, thanks go to our Tech-Director,
Woody Callaway.
Please know that Bo Wagner & Tommy Williams are both physically OK after the hard crash that they
had at Cochran.
Our thoughts & prayers go out to Scotty Wright, Larry Smith, Woody Moore, Dale Stephens, Don Nation,
& Randy Woodard’s father N.E. Woodard.
