Our dream was to enable researchers to make measurements at the sample and in the field – experiments that simply couldn’t be performed in the lab. We wanted to make spectroscopy cost-effective and accessible to new fields of crossdisciplinary science. But it has evolved into so much more.. Those researchers went on to create new techniques for solving applied problems with spectroscopy, and their students graduated and joined the ranks of industry. That generation began to use Ocean Optics spectrometers in industry as well, leveraging the small footprint and high performanceto-cost ratio to create innovative new instrumentation for applications in medicine, the environment, process, food, safety, and more. Today, our OEM customers include over 400 companies across the globe sourcing spectrometers, subassemblies, and complete spectroscopic systems in volume. They are partnered with OEM sales engineers located at regional offices worldwide who champion their product from concept to volume manufacture, working hands-on to test samples and configure systems. Our OEM customers are now supported by more than a dozen engineers dedicated to helping them do more, faster through customization of optics, mechanics, electronics and software. We have the same passion and hunger for creating and enabling technology that we’ve always had, backed by better products, more resources and deeper applications knowledge than ever before. And it’s all here for you. How We Work We believe in an adaptive approach, providing the products and services you need to support your unique path to product development. Our regional OEM sales engineers begin by understanding your technical and business needs, then work with our applications, engineering and manufacturing teams to create a product development plan that complements and enhances your internal capabilities with our own. Levels of Integration Spectrometers/accessories: Off-the-shelf and customized spectrometers, light sources, fiber optics and sampling accessories for light generation, routing and collection Subsystems: Drop-in integrated opto-mechanical subassemblies and electronics specified at the system level; engineered and optimized for a specific application to provide repeatable answers Complete solutions: Turnkey systems developed using your analytical method; designed and manufactured by us to provide a complete solution We provide modular and flexible products and services to reduce risk and speed time to market. www.oceanoptics.com | oem@oceanoptics.com | US +1 727-733-2447 EUROPE +31 26-3190500 ASIA +86 21-6295-6600 3 Your OEM Support Team We see partnership as an opportunity to act as an extension of your team, translating your ideas into products faster and with less risk. Each function within your organization is paired with a counterpart in ours, providing support to take you through product development and launch. Regional Sales Engineers Your first contact is with an OEM sales engineer based in your region, who acts as your champion from start to finish. Armed with broad applications knowledge and a deep understanding of our products, they will guide you to the right solution, determine the resources needed to bring your product to market, and provide ongoing support after launch. Application Engineers This multidisciplinary team is available to complement your own internal R&D team with specific applications expertise. They can initiate feasibility testing of your samples, assist in method development and system optimization, and perform validation testing once systems are built. Engineering Team When you need more than stock components, our team of optical, opto-mechanical, electrical and software engineers can create a solution. Their deep knowledge of our products allows them to rapidly customize spectrometers and integrate subsystems that deliver the best performance-to-cost ratio for your application. With over 100 years of combined experience in a wide variety of industries, they create innovative solutions that are far more than the sum of their parts. Program & Engineering Managers These managers keep everything moving for you internally to complete projects and transfer your product to manufacturing on time. They develop and monitor program schedules, create achievable product specifications, and oversee ramp to volume production. “I really, really LOVE to work with our OEMs because of the great customer relationships. They are all friendly contacts, and willing to cooperate.” – Ocean Optics Customer Service Representative Customer Service Whether it’s your first system or your thousandth, you will have friendly voices providing you with day-to-day support on ordering, scheduling and product shipment.
