CCF UPDATE: The campaign to support Naydeli, Ramakrishnan and Zewdeneshe, our three children from the Christian Children’s Fund, is drawing to a close. The bill should soon arrive. Our commitment for 2015 is $1368.00. To this point, up to and including Sunday, April 12, 2015, we have collected $1219.75 towards this initiative. $914.00 through envelopes, $305.70 from the soup luncheons and the Sunday School’s cupcake donations. We are only about $150.00 from our goal. Thank you, from the Mission & Service Committee, for your continued support. As most of the congregation know, the Afternoon AMS have been supplying food for a hot meal for F.O.O.D.( Feeding Others of Dartmouth), once a month for several years now. We buy 25 pounds of hamburger to supply the meal along with other food. The price of hamburger has increased so much we were considering not using it or a lesser amount of it. Charlotte Enman, an employee of Braemar and a member of the Evening AMS, approached the Superstore manager about getting a discount. He suggested that they would give a $50 gift certificate each month for food. We are very grateful to Mr. Gary Davis, for his kind offer and to Charlotte for asking him on our behalf. 30TH ANNUAL LOBSTER SUPPER St James United Church Hall, 181 Portland Street, Downtown Dartmouth Saturday, May 9, 4:30 - 6:30.
