The future of the Autonomous Vehicles is estimated to potentially contribute $1.3 trillion in annual savings to the U.S. economy alone, with global
savings estimated at over $5.6 trillion. However, automakers have yet to deploy systems that allow cars to communicate so they can avoid each other,
and governments are yet to draft regulations that will define what autonomous cars are allowed to become. These challenges not only impact
automotive commercial markets, but also national security due to the availability of these technologies for Department of Defense use. In order to bring
these technologies to market and support national defense concerns, proper infrastructure must also be considered.
