PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP, controls pest and plant problems biologically, using naturally occurring microbes and fungi in combination with organics, mineral, and Biochar. This effective combination adds organics and carbon to the soil increasing soil’s defenses against future infestations while simultaneously supporting natural plant development. PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP is 100% organic. Description—Where to Use PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP has been designed as a premium organic matrix for soil resiliency. Heal should be used in organic agriculture, managed turfgrass, lawn and garden, and anywhere a safe organic solution is desired for fungal or insect infestations. Heal provides biological control of pests and is ideally suited for use on golf courses, sports fields and recreational facilities, commercial and residential lawns, gardens, flowers, trees, and organic farming. Application—How to Use At the beginning of each season, all plants and lawns should be treated with a soil application of PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP to help prevent root rot. Re-application should be made every 4-8 weeks to control pests. Foliar disease application should be made every 14 days during disease time to prevent mildews and molds. If disease appears application frequency should be shortened to every 7 days or less. PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP can help fight many common diseases found on plants around your yard. Key Advantage — Plant Mold/Disease Control Key Advantage — Soil Remediation PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP controls many different molds, and PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP contains MicroEB. This proprietary plant diseases including Brown Patch, Dollar Spot, Pythium Blight, Powdery Mildew, Downy Mildew, Grey Mold, Fire Blight, Leaf Spots and Rusts, Black and Gray Spot. The key microbe for disease control is Streptomyces lydicus WYEC 108, Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC 108 is a naturally occurring bacterium that is commonly found in soil. When applied to soil or turf grass, the bacterium protects the plant against a range of root decay fungi. Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC 108 can also be applied to plant foliage in greenhouses to control powdery mildew. No harm to humans or the environment is expected from use of Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC 108 as a pesticide active ingredient. When introduced to the soil, this microbe colonizes in a symbiotic relationship with the plant roots feeding off of the secretion of simple sugars from the root hyphe while secreting anti-fungal byproducts beneficial to the plant. This combination of protective secretions forms a defensive barrier around the plant’s roots which in turn suppresses and controls disease causing pathogens. blend of microbes breaks down hydrocarbons reducing soil contamination from petroleum leakage and pesticide spills. These contaminants are made up of organic hydrocarbon molecules that microbes break down by consuming them as nutrients. This natural remediation of oil and diesel spills and overuse of chemical herbicides or pesticides is a biological solution to a chemical problem—a process known as bioremediation. Key Advantage — Insect Control PermaMatrix ® Heal BSP includes BioGuard, a natural insect repellant consisting of Paecilomyces fumosoroseus strain FE 9901. This unique soil microorganism is a naturally occurring fungus that is widespread and a common pathogen of insects. For use in controlling Whitefly, Aphids, Thrips, Psyllids, Mealybugs, Leaf hoppers, Plant bugs, Weevils, Grasshoppers, Mormon Crickets, Locusts, Beetles and Fungus Gnats. Under proper environmental conditions, spores of the fungus attach to and penetrate the cuticle of the insect pest. The fungus grows inside the insect causing its death. The fungus then emerges from the dead insect to release more spores to infect other insects.
