SPRING 2015 PGH VINTAGE MIXER EVENT OUR FIFTH BI-ANNUAL VINTAGE VENDOR FAIR SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2015 HEINZ HISTORY CENTER STRIP DISTRICT, PITTSBURGH PGHVINTAGEMIXER@GMAIL.COM INSTAGRAM &TWITTER: @PGHVINTAGEMIXER WWW.PGHVINTAGEMIXER.COM P ittsburgh Vintage Mixer’s Spring 2015 vintage fair is a one-day, curated vintage event scheduled Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Heinz History Center in conjunction with the institutions WWII exhibit and special programming. Vendor space is limited and will be determined through this application process. HISTORY Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer is organized by a group of Pittsburgh vintage sellers whose mission is to bring together local vintage shops/sellers and the Pittsburgh community for a day filled with quality, genuine vintage wares in a fun atmosphere - collections, conversations and kitsch! The first Vintage Mixer was held in Summer 2011 at The New Hazlett Theater. Since, the Mixer also has hosted Vintage Pittsburgh vendor fair at the Heinz History Center in 2013 and April 2014. To date, Vintage Pittsburgh is the largest ever public event at the History Center. This May will be our fifth anniversary! DETAILS Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer Fall 2014 is Saturday, May 9, at the History Center. (Door fees for attendees are still in negotiations.) Programming for the event is in the works and possible additions may include History Center programming, local DJs, sponsorships, special guests and more. Past vintage vendors have included sellers of vinyl, small furniture, fashion and accessories, books, comics, posters and ephemera, housewares, and toys. Participants will be promoted by Pgh Vintage Mixer via social media outlets and marketing materials produced for the event. DEADLINE The deadline for applications to vend at Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer Fall 2014 is Monday, March 30. CRITERIA Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer is a curated collection of regional vintage and antiques sellers. Judging will be based on quality and variety of wares – all sellers’ inventory must be at least 20 years of age or older (pre-1995). The event’s overall aesthetic is taken into consideration in judging in regard to presentation, variety and cohesion. Vendor participation is determined by PVM directors. Note: Pgh Vintage Mixer is dedicated to showcasing GENUINE VINTAGE ITEMS ONLY (no upcycled pieces and/or pieces that have been altered in any way from their original state). )APPLICATION, FEES, PHOTOS To apply, please return the application in full that is available through our website www.pghvintagemixer.com. Upon acceptance, vendor stalls are $150 to be paid in full, in advance of the event (deadlines and info will follow at a later time). Vendor spaces are a standard 8 by 5 feet and will include a vendor table, table covering and chairs (those who do not require these may request so after acceptance). Upon acceptance, vendors will be given a Spring 2015 Vendor Packet regarding event setup (Friday, May 8) and details regarding space and amenities provided (electricity, WiFi, etc.). If applying to share a vendor space with a fellow seller, this must be established upon application and both parties must apply in full. APPLICANT PHOTOS All applicants must provide up to five (5) high-resolution photos that represent their wares - returning applicants must submit new images for jurying. Please attach these photos with the application. Note: Clear, quality images are of the utmost importance. TERMS AND CONDITIONS All applications received by Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer are bound by the following: I submit herein my application and understand my information, images and descriptions will be closely judged by event organizers prior to the announcement of finalists. This is my application and my application only. I understand space is limited for this event; this application toward the jurying process does not equate acceptance into the final event. I understand this event focuses on genuine vintage pieces and the items I am submitting/selling are distinctively vintage as detailed in the Critera Section. If I am a finalist, I allow Pgh Vintage Mixer organizers to use the photos I’ve attached for promotional use via social media prior to the event (Twitter, website, Facebook, Instagram). Terms and conditions for the May event will be sent to finalists at a later date.
