The Camp The Mid Atlantic Officials camp focuses on three person officiating and the techniques, preparation, and evaluation needed to allow you to excel in officiating. Key learning topics will include: • Philosophy • Rules application • How to manage the game • Communication with coaches • Pre-game meetings • Video tape break down Specializing in three Person Officiating JUNE 13TH & 14TH 2015 We offer a comprehensive video review session and many campers attribute this video review as an important key to a successful season. In addition, you will receive a copy of your game—for self-review. This session will also demonstrate to you the value of tape review and how it is the edge you will need to move on to the next level. Location The Mid Atlantic Officials Camp will be held on the campus of The University Of Maryland at College Park at the state of the art Xfinity Center. The teams will feature regional AAU & high school teams from all over the Mid Atlantic region. Games will use high school rules. New and veteran officials will benefit from situations on and off the court. The camp will begin Saturday at 7am with orientation, classroom, & video session. Saturday's games sessions will be from 9am to 7pm and the Sunday session will run from 8am to noon. Camp Directors Sean Hull is an NCAA official and currently works in the ACC, CAA, A10, America East, IVY, Patriot, MEAC, and CIAA. Bernard Clinton is an NCAA official and currently works in the ACC, CAA, A10, North East, MEAC, CIAA, Sun- belt, Southern & Ivy/Pat conference. What You Should Bring Each official should bring an adequate supply of equipment including: striped officials shirts, black shorts, black shoes, whistle, lanyard, rules book, and note pad. Staff Yes The 2015 Mid Atlantic Officials Camp staff will be comprised of the top NCAA officials in the country with special invited guests including Supervisors of Officials from Division I, II, III, & Junior College, NBA Observers, and current NBA Officials to help observe. The staff's goal is to make you a better official understanding your current situation and helping you to prioritize your goals and objectives for the future.
