Cyberthreat landscape
Cyberthreats have become a global problem that spreads far beyond any geographical borders. The
rise of advanced persistent threats (APTs) has transformed the state of the global cyberthreat
landscape, putting critical industrial infrastructure, finance, telecommunications, transportation,
research institutes, military contractors and governmental networks worldwide at great risk. To
fulfill its mission, Kaspersky Lab is determined to detect and neutralize all forms of malicious
programs, regardless of their origin or purpose. There is no such thing as "right" or "wrong" malware
for us. The company is committed to protecting all computer users around the globe. This protection

Kaspersky Lab global scale
Today Kaspersky Lab is the world’s largest privately held vendor of endpoint protection solutions,
with a holding registered in the United Kingdom. Since its inception, Kaspersky Lab has followed a
global vision and focused on international markets. This strategy helped the company to grow into
a global corporation.
Kaspersky Lab is one of the fastest growing IT security vendors in the world.i The company was
founded in 1997 and today it is an international group operating in almost 200 countries and
territories worldwide. It has 34 representative territory offices in 31 countries across 5 continents.
Kaspersky Lab has a corporate client base of more than 270,000 companies located around the

According to the company’s 2014 unaudited financial results, Kaspersky Lab’s global revenue grew
by 7% compared to the previous year and reached $771 million. Kaspersky Lab delivered growth
in the corporate IT security segment – 1% in US Dollars and 7% in local currencies (Euro, Dollar,
Yen, Ruble). The most important part of the B2B segment: the enterprise segment, showed a 7%
increase in USD and 16% in local currencies (non-audited revenue growth 2014 vs. 2013).

Kaspersky Lab has about 120 global technology OEM and pre-installation agreements with
companies including Microsoft, Cisco Meraki, Juniper Networks, Alcatel Lucent, Blue Coat, Check
Point, D-Link, Clearswift, Netgear, ZyXel, Alt-N, Parallels, Lenovo, Facebook, Qualcomm, BAE
Systems, H3C, Trustwave, Vertu, ASUS, Samsung, Toshiba, Stormshield, Amazon Web Services,
Openwave Messaging and General Dynamics. The company’s client list includes big names such
as Ferrari, Strabag, Telefonica, etc.
In February 2014 Kaspersky Lab announced the establishment of its International Advisory Board,
gathering world-known cybersecurity experts to provide the company with strategic advice on the
IT security market. The Advisory Board brings together seven internationally recognized experts in
IT security from the industry, the public sector and academia. They will provide practical guidance,
insights and validation of the strategic plans and priority business development areas of the
company.
Howard A. Schmidt, former Cyber Advisor to both President Bush and President Obama, serves as
the chairman of the International Advisory Board and is joined by Bruce Schneier, Jae-Woo Lee,
Latha Reddy, Baroness Pauline Neville-Jones, Norbert Pohlmann and Whitfield Diffie. The Board
members have years of experience in situations where the IT security industry connects with
government, international and national cyber strategy policy makers, and academia. They bring

Kaspersky Lab’s Global Research and Analysis Team
Kaspersky Lab’s Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT) was established in 2008 and
provides leading anti-threat intelligence, research and innovation, internally and externally.
Nowadays this elite group of world-leading security experts is active all over the world. The GReAT
team actively participates in joint investigations of cyber-warfare operations involving cyberespionage and cyber-sabotage malware. Kaspersky Lab research team discovered and dissected
the most sophisticated threats like Flame, Gauss, miniFlame, RedOctober, NetTraveler, Icefog,
Careto/The Mask, Darkhotel, Regin, Cloud Atlas, Carbanak etc.
Cooperation with law enforcement agencies and international organizations
It works together with the global IT security community, international organizations, national and
regional law enforcement agencies (e.g. INTERPOL, Europol, Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit, The
National High Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU) of the Netherlands’ Police Agency and The City of London
Police), as well as Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) worldwide. During investigations,
Kaspersky Lab’s security experts provide technical expertise and focus their research on analyzing
malware.
Kaspersky Lab has supported INTERPOL’s launch of a new Digital Forensics Laboratory as part of
the Digital Crime Center at the Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) in Singapore. The Digital

Forensics Laboratory is responsible for carrying out the technical part of INTERPOL’s investigations
into cyber-incidents. It will use cutting-edge techniques and software to analyze malware,
identifying and presenting evidence of illegal actions to help prosecute criminals.
Kaspersky Lab also takes part in joint cyberthreat investigations with companies and organizations
including Adobe, AlienVault Labs, Dell Secureworks, Crowdstrike, OpenDNS Security Research
Team, GoDaddy Network Abuse Department, Seculert, SurfNET, Kyrus Tech Inc. and Honeynet
Project.
Moreover, Kaspersky Lab has successfully trained Europol and City of London Police employees
and is very excited about extending its partnerships against cybercrime.
In addition, Eugene Kaspersky participates in The Advisory Group on Internet Security of the
Program Board of the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) and an Advisory Board of the Council on
CyberSecurity, providing his expertise and guidance on cybersecurity. He has also been invited to
speak at different events, e.g. the World Economic Forum, INTERPOL assemblies, Samsung
conference.

technologies and tools into four tiers, each of which adds its own layer of protection against
cyberthreats. The first level – Core – contains our award-winning anti-malware technologies. Next
come the Select and Advanced tiers, offering modern endpoint control and encryption. Finally, Total
level security provides the best protection for each area of the network – web, mail and
collaboration servers alike. At every level Kaspersky Security Network provides powerful cloudassisted protection to every component, and Kaspersky Security Center tools help IT specialists to

Kaspersky Security for Virtualization is a flexible solution which delivers both protection and

monitoring, antivirus protection for instant messaging, mail and web, plus advanced heuristics. The
result is powerful, multi-layered security combined with efficient performance for all major virtual
environments: VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V and Citrix Xen.
Kaspersky Fraud Prevention has been specifically developed to deliver multi-layered security for
online and mobile banking. In addition to safeguarding customer Windows and OS X endpoints from
financial threats, the Kaspersky Fraud Prevention SDK component allows banks and payment
systems to develop their own secure applications for Android, iOS devices and Windows Phone.
Kaspersky DDoS Protection is the solution able to protect online services from DDoS attacks of any
size and complexity. It combines traffic filtration on the provider side, the use of specialized
cleaning centers with flexible filters and Kaspersky Lab’s DDoS Intelligence.

Intelligence services
CyberSecurity Education – a set of programs that provide companies’ security departments with
unique hands-on experience of the most recently discovered malware and attacks. They use reallife examples to help develop forensic investigation and malware analysis skills.
Threat Data Feeds – feeds of raw data on cyberthreats designed to provide an early warning for
government authorities, security service providers and telecoms operators to raise protection by
blocking malware at the infrastructure level. The feeds are taken from Kaspersky Security Network.
Botnet Threat Tracking – a service allowing security service providers and financial companies to
monitor botnet activity aimed against users of particular online services, and preventing this threat
via daily email notifications tailored for your individual company needs.
Intelligence Reports – a subscription service that allows security service providers and financial
companies to respond to regional variations in threats facing their organization, based on Global
Research and Analysis Team intelligence and other internal sources.

Since 2010 Kaspersky Lab has been an official sponsor of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One racing
team, which also chose Kaspersky Lab as a strong technological partner with a complete, cutting
edge IT security solution. The ideologies of the two companies, Kaspersky Lab and Ferrari, have
