All classes are designed to encourage the novice horse, rider. The cross country will be designed to
build confidence and does not include water. All classes will be split, pony club members/non
members if there are sufficient entries.
Class 1. Mini Mini combined training: combination not to have been placed 1st in any ODE.
Dressage: Pony Club D Level 1 (walk and trot) may be commanded.
Show Jumping: Approx. 45 cms
Assistance or lead rein allowed in jumping section ( will incur 10 penalties).
Class 2. Mini Event. PC Level 1 Combination not to have won ODE at 70cms or above.
Dressage: Pony Club Intro 2007
Show Jumping: Approx. 60cms.
Cross Country: Approx 60cms
Section A – 10 years and under.
Section B – Over 10 years.
Class 3 Novice Event. PC Level 2 combination not to have won ODE at 80 cms or above.
Dressage: Pony Club Novice eventing test 2013.
Show Jumping: Approx. 75cms.
Cross Country: 75 cms.
Class 4 Open. Combination not to have won ODE at 90 cms or above.
Dressage: Pony Club Novice Eventing test 2013.
Show Jumping: Approx. 85 cms.
Cross Country: Approx. 85 cms.
NB each horse/rider combination may only compete in one class.
Rosettes to 6th place, trophy to highest PWPC member in each class.
Entry fees :
Classes 1&2 PWPC members £13.00. non members £15.00
Classes 3&4 PWPC members £15.00. non members £17.00
Plus £3 per competitor for first aid.
A £5 deposit will be required for bibs, please ensure you have the correct money. N.B for those using air vests
our bibs are secured with ties, it would be advisable to use your own bib with elasticated sides and we will
provide you with a paper number.
ENTRIES CLOSE MONDAY 25TH MAY 2015.
Times will be posted on pwpc.org.uk on Friday 29th may 2015 from 3pm onwards.
The course may be walked between 2pm – 6pm on Saturday 30th May 2015.

The decision of the judges and stewards is final.
The trial will be judged in accordance with PC eventing rules 2015, available on Pony Club website
www.pcuk.org.
3. Neither Puckeridge Western Pony Club nor the land owner nor any person acting on their behalf
accept liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses,riders,spectators or any other
persons property whatsoever. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to
avoid and prevent accidents occurring and competitors must obey the instructions of the organisers
and all the officials and stewards.
4. No horse/pony under 4 years may compete.
5. By entering this event competitors have agreed to be photographed by the professional photographer
whilst competeing.
6. Correct riding attire and hat (PAS 015:1998, EN 1384:1996, BS EN 1384:1997-with BSI kitemake,
AS/NZS 3838 1988/2003-with SA1 Global symbol, Snell E2001-with official snell label & number) must
be worn at all times when mounted and will be checked. Body protectors must be worn for cross
country phase. Medical armbands must be worn.
7. Spurs may be worn by Pony Club members who have obtained the written consent of their district
commissioner.
8. No entry fee will be refunded after the closing date unless a veterinary or medical certificate is
produced before 9.00 am on the day of the trials and given to the secretary- a £5 admin fee will be
charged. In the event of a cancellation of the competition, entry fees will be refunded less £5 per
entry to be retained to cover costs.
9. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or vary or cancel the event without explanation.
10. Objections to be lodged at the secretary’s caravan in writing accompanied by a deposit of £10 within
30 minutes. If sustained the deposit will be refunded.
11. Any competitor having 3 refusals at the same fence during the cross country phase may proceed to
the next fence and give way to other competitors.
12. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES.
