We have many field trips and award ceremonies scheduled, and we appreciate our Rampello volunteers con nued support with a endance, and chaperoning . Thank you to all the families who a ended our MEGA Night/ Band BBQ. The BBQ was very successful in raising money for our Pirate Band & Orchestra programs. A special congratula ons goes out to 8th grader Chris an Suarez, who won a YEA! Award (Youth Excellence and Achievement Award) in the category of Middle School Volunteer or Community Service, from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. We are so proud of you and your con nued service as a tutor and NJHS leader! As we close out the year, please remember, we value our instruc onal me, and just because it’s the end of the year does not mean our students stop learning. Our teachers will work diligently un l the very last day to ensure that our crew is prepared for the coming school year in August. Have a safe and wonderful summer!! You will have to wait for the end of the school day — ALL visitors must sign in at the Student Affairs Office. —Please bring your driver's license or state ID when visiting campus. —The sign-in computer is only set up to scan a Driver's License or Florida ID card. Special Events Please note: If you don’t have either form of identification, it is mandatory that you will need to be cleared by Officer Wogaman. This could result in a delay picking up your child. Grade 8 Spirit Week May 18th– 22nd —If you are here to volunteer or chaperone, you must have a completed SERVE form on file, to be updated annually. No Opt Out Information: No Opt Out will be held for middle school students every Monday afternoon from 1:30-2:30 pm. Students will be given an opportunity to make up assignments for (up to) 70% credit. Field Day Volunteer Request Our Pirate Fest Field Day will be held on Friday, May 22nd. This year, our theme is Physical Education Content Areas: Games, Dance, Gymnastics, and Fitness. We have three sessions (see below). If you are able to volunteer for this fun day, please email us back and let us know the sessions for which you are available Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Session 1: 8:15 am to 10:00am (grades K-2) Session 2: 10:15 am to 12:00 (grades 3-5) Session 3: 12:15 to 2:00pm ( grades 6-8) Calling all Grade 8 parents: We are currently looking for volunteers to help bring back students to school after the banquet at the Tampa Club (on the top floor of the Bank of America building) on Thursday, June 4th. Grow the biggest zucchini or tomatoes in your neighborhood. 2. Keep a journal and write about your family adventures. 3. Get theatrical. Put on a show in your backyard 4. Build a bird feeder or a planter. 5. Baby-sit for your neighbors or family. 6. Become the family's junior travel agent. 7. Visit an artist’s studio. 8. Turn a museum trip into a treasure hunt. 9. Volunteer at a homeless shelter, or animal rescue 10. Go geocaching, or use a metal detector at the beach to find treasures.
