UIC CAMPUS RECREATION - RECOGNIZE YOUR POTENTIAL
UIC CAMPUS RECREATION DROP-IN CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Bootcamp: This class is for anyone looking for a fun and challenging workout! Instructors incorporate interval
exercises along with circuit stations and sports drills to offer a total body workout for any person who is ready to
take their fitness to the next level. Basic body-weight and resistance exercises, coupled with non-stop cardio
intervals will ensure that you feel the burn in each class.
Cycle Express: 40-50 minutes of action packed cycling. Designed for those who are short on time, but high on
motivation! Get ready for a great ride!
Cycling: This hour long cycling class is guaranteed to make you sweat. Build cardiovascular endurance while
climbing hills and racing along flat roads.
Dance Fit: Burn calories and tone your body in this class that combines different dance styles into a great workout.
Get fit while having a blast!
Flex: This is a simple, easy-to-follow, yet demanding class that will tone up every major body part, including those
muscles sometimes forgotten about! Equipment options for this class may include: the step, stability balls,
dumbbells, bands and bars, used with controlled and slow movements to tone and strengthen.
Hard Core: Get ready to strengthen your core and tighten your abs for better functional strength with this class.
Focusing on the abdominals, obliques, and lower back muscles, you will challenge the powerhouse of your body in
just 30 minutes!
HIIT: Take your fitness training to the next level! Participate in high intensity cardio intervals mixed with strength
training for a complete express workout.
Jump Rope Camp: Take your training to the cardio and strength training to the next level with this interval style
clalss incorporating jump ropes, steps, dumbbells, body weight and more.
Lower Body Blast: Using a variety of strength training equipment, this class will focus on strengthening the glutes
and legs. Squat & lunge your way to power.
Step & Core: This class will include basic step patterns with a gradual build in choreography and intensity and
Hard CORE exercises for a fun and exciting workout!
Step & Flex: This class will use class will use step moves, interspersed with strength training and a great mix of pop
music for a total body workout. This exhilarating workout provides a range of benefits including muscle toning,
calorie burning and lower body definition. Get ready to step it up!
Synrgy: Synrgy 360 takes your workout into a functional training workout incorporating muscle strength and
endurance, cardiovascular intervals, and core and flexibility training. Using the Synrgy 360 equipment, circuit
training stations will be set up using TRX, kettlebells, medicine balls, boxing, battle ropes, body weight training and
more. Sign up in advance at the Sport & Fitness Center Membership Desk.
Total Body Workout: Have only an hour to get your workout in? No problem! This high intensity class combines
various types of cardio and strength training exercises to firm you up and slim you down! An excellent full body
workout followed by core training.

Drop-In Group Fitness Policies
-Drop-In Group Fitness classes are free to UIC students and UIC Campus Recreation members.
-All Group Fitness Drop-In classes are on a first come, first serve basis. Some classes may have limited space and
equipment.
-For your safety, please arrive within the first 5 minutes of class and wear appropriate footwear.
-All participants need to sign the Drop In Group Fitness Waiver once per semester.
-Participants must be 18 years of age to participate in Drop-In Group Fitness.
