Subject: Exhibition / workshop opportunity at the Lets Talk Science Festival, Ballymun
The Rediscovery Centre and Global Action Plan are delighted to announce that Lets Talk Science, a new science
festival, will be taking place from 21st to 24th May 2015 in Ballymun, Dublin. This exciting free festival will be a unique
opportunity for schools and families to have fun and explore science, technology, engineering and maths.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from STEM outreach or environmental awareness organisations to
rd
partake in our contributors/exhibition area on Saturday 23 May. Interested organisations would be expected to
facilitate interactive STEM activities or demonstrations at their exhibition stand for the duration of the day. The
contributors/exhibition area will be located indoors, in the atrium of the Ballymun Civic Centre.
A limited number of rooms may be available for organisations that wish to host regular STEM workshops throughout
the day. Organisations are expected to provide all their own materials for both the workshops and exhibition stands.
Space may also be available outside on the Civic Centre plaza should you require outside space.
rd
Saturday 23 is the only open access day of the festival and we expect 1,000 – 2,000 visitors over the course of the
day. The festival is aimed at families so activities and workshops should be able to cater for a range of ages.
The Rediscovery Centre and Global Action Plan will be facilitating hands on activities for families throughout the day in
dedicated marquees outside on the Civic Centre Plaza.
Please get back to us asap with your interest and availability as space will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
If you would have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. Expressions of interest should be returned to
th
tara@rediscoverycentre.ie by close of business on Wednesday 29 April. Confirmation of attendance and
th
requirements will need to be submitted by Friday 8 May.
Best regards,
Tara Singleton
