Middle School Honor Roll Science Field Day Principal`s Message A
Kathy La Piana, Principal • Monica Solórzano, Assistant Principal Principal’s Message These are the last few weeks of elementary/middle school for our eighth graders, many of whom have been at Repetto for the last nine years. We would like to wish them a fond farewell and the best of luck as they transition to high school. We know they will do great things during the next four years and beyond, and will continue to make the Repetto School family proud. We would also like to wish our current kindergarten through seventh graders a successful end of the school year and an exciting, but also restful summer break. Don’t forget to spend some time reading and learning. We look forward to seeing them on August 14th for the first day of the 15/16 school year. A Special Thank You I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Repetto parents, staff and students for so graciously supporting me as I joined the Repetto Family this year. It has been an amazing year getting to know all of you and having the privilege and honor of working with such highly-qualified teachers and support staff, extremely efficient office personnel, exceptionally dedicated and concerned parents and students committed to learning. I would also like to especially thank Dr. Monica Solórzano, Assistant Principal, and Mrs. Kathy Taggart, Instructional Specialist, both of whom I could not have done without. Most sincerely, Kathy La Piana Dates to Remember MAY 4-8: 06: 07: 13: 13: 14: 16: Scholastic Book Fair (Library) Attendance Assemblies Open House Bonus/Valet Bucks PTA Meeting, 6:30pm (Cafeteria) Middle School Spring Dance Monterey Park Play Day Parade at 11:00am 18-22: Spirit Week 19: SSC Meeting, 5:00pm (Cafeteria) 20: Minimum Day 4 21: Talent Show Assemblies 22: Minimum Day 22: Good Citizen Yearend Celebration, 12:30pm 22: Promotion Dinner & Dance 25: Memorial Day Holiday 26: Promotion Picnic and Yearbook Signing 28: Kinder Promotion, 11:30am 28: Volunteer Social, 1:30pm 29: 8th Grade Promotion 8:30am – Barnes Park 29: Non-Uniform Day (Theme: Tropical/Summer) 29: Minimum Day: Last Day of School 29: Report Cards Go Home Important Announcements and Reminders • Open House: We hope all our parents will join us at Open House on Thursday, May 7th. • • • • • • • • Middle School Honor Roll May 4, 2015 Issue 9 Classroom visitations begin at 6:30pm and ends at 8:00pm. Correction from Last Issue: In last month’s listing of the Citizens of the Month, Andrew Aguiniga, 4th grader from Mrs. Tong-Ju’s class was inadvertently omitted. We apologize to Andrew and congratulate him for being recognized for the quality of Honesty. All applicants should be very proud of themselves for doing a great job on their applications and the interview. Message from PTA: Our PTA would like to thank all students and parents for their support throughout the year. One easy way to continue supporting PTA during the summer is to collect Box Tops for Education and submit them to the school in the fall. Enjoy your summer! On Friday, April 24th, Repetto School held its annual Middle School Honor Roll Breakfast, where we recognized 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who have demonstrated academic excellence this year, achieving a G.P.A. of 3.6 or higher. Congratulations to these young scholars! They have made their family, their school, and themselves very proud. The names of these honorees will be posted on the Repetto website. • Science Field Day Congratulations to the (27) Repetto students who competed in the Mark Keppel High School Science Field Day on April 11th.
