• Applications for the Innovative Use of Technology awards should demonstrate how they have implemented
and/or modified a commercially available resource.
• Applicants for the Best Original Digital Content awards need to demonstrate a wholly original idea/resource.
In both instances, the impact on learners must be considered.
• Applicants wholly or partly supported by commercial organisations should apply for the Commercial Digital
Project Award.
• Applications from individual learners or groups of learners should apply for the National Digital Learning
Council’s Pupil Award.

2. Title of entry:
This title will be used by Welsh Government for all correspondence and advertising. For each category winner,
this will be the title shown on your award.

2.5 Evidence:
• URLs must be publicly available and accessible across multiple platforms (PC, Mac, iDevices and Android).
• We welcome content/evidence in the form of YouTube (or other) video submissions.
• We regret that we cannot accept submission by DVD or removable USB media.

3. Quality assurance:
The Welsh Government is committed to promoting high quality digital resources through the National Digital
Content Repository, Hwb. Winning entries for 2015 will be considered for publication on Hwb and should therefore
address the following quality assurances:
The content is fully bilingual or could be adapted to be bilingual should it win an award
The content supports the relevant national curricular and skills frameworks
The content addresses at least one of the national priorities for education
All copyright is owned by the content creator (or appropriate permissions have been obtained in writing
from third parties)
Model release permission is available for all participants under the age of 18 (this is especially vital for
video submission and video/image resources featuring images of learners)

Terms & Conditions
• Entries backed, promoted or supported by commercial organisations will only be accepted for the Commercial award
category.
• All shortlisted entries agree to undertake a video interview/presentation, demonstrating their resource at work,
which will be used to promote the award across Wales and as a means of sharing good practice.
• Entry is open to registered teachers based (or part based) in a school/college within Wales, except employees
(and their families) of Welsh Government, members of the National Digital Learning Council (and their families)
and any other body associated with the organisation of the National Digital Learning Event or National Digital
Learning Awards.
• Entrants for the Pupil’s award must be submitted by a teacher.
• Entries that are incomplete, illegible or indecipherable, will not be valid and will be deemed void.
• No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post, or due to computer error
in transit.
• The promoters reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of the award at any time.
• The winner(s) agree(s) to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of the nature of their project.
• The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into over this decision.
• Winning entries will be disclosed at the National Digital Learning Event 2015.
