REDEMPTORIST HIGH SCHOOL APRIL 2015 NEWSLETTER GENERAL NEWS & INFO Junior Ring Ceremony and Mass Junior Ring Mass will be held on April 29 at 10:00 am. Juniors are to arrive no later than 9:40 am. After the ceremony, Juniors will be dismissed for the day. Practice for Junior Ring Ceremony will be held after 8 am Mass on April 24. After April 30, students who wish to have their rings changed to represent their new school can do so free of charge. More information will be provided to students. Junior & Senior Prom— May 2, 8-11 pm Tickets: The last day to buy Prom Tickets is Thursday, April 30. Mrs. Nolin and Mrs. Armanini are selling tickets at lunch. Tickets are $40 per person. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Prom Dress Code: Prom is a formal affair. Gentlemen should arrive in a suit with tie or tuxedo. No jeans, T-shirts, shorts. No flip flops. Dresses Rebecca Armanini, Nnonye Asonye, Cameron Callihan, should not be excessively tight. Dresses may not have: slits Dylan Iueli, Alyssa Landry, Kaila Lanns, Tyler Leufroy, that are more than 2 inches above the knee; cut outs that Matthew Saia, Chelsea Singleton expose the waist, stomach or lower back; plunging neck th lines. All dresses must cover the back up to the natural bra High Honors 10 Grade line. Dresses may be strapless. If you are unsure about your KeShyra Barber, Karly Brown, Taylor Fields, Candice Scalise, Hunter Todd, Sondra Williams dress, bring your dress or a picture of your dress to Mrs. Honors 10th Grade Armanini (room 105). Larry Rogers & Montrell Williams All guests must adhere to these dress codes. Anyone not th following the dress code will not be allowed into the prom. High Honors 9 Grade Abigail Courville & Sean McDaniel Your money will NOT be refunded. Honors 9th Grade Band News Keyonne Hawkins, Kiron Robertson, Tristanny Simpson, Congratulations to Amirah Montgomery and De'Ajah Mack Amber Thomas for being selected to the Baton Rouge Area Beginner’s th Honor Band. They will join students from 30 other schools High Honors 8 Grade Kezra Carter and perform on Saturday April 18th at 1 pm at Sherwood Honors 8th Grade Middle Magnet. Kaylee Canady, Tyana Jackson, Casey Jones, Miranda Petty, The RHS Music Department will be having their Spring Josinique Reed, Sarah Soileau, Monteriya Thomas Concert on Thursday, April 30th at 6:30 pm in the Ott High Honors 7th Grade Center at St Isidore. Admission is free. Joshua Harrold, Aijah Lathan, Haile Variste Honors 7th Grade Jaylin Boykins, John Fruge, De'Ajah Mack INFORMATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2015 College Acceptance & Scholarship Letters Graduation Ceremony Tickets Graduation tickets will be sent home with graduation robes on May 1st. Each student will be assigned 10 seats – a full pew to each family. Pew assignments will be assigned in alphabetical order. Contact Mr. Glueck if you have any questions or concerns. Baccalaureate Mass Baccalaureate Mass will be held on May 8th at 10 am. Admission is open and seats will not be assigned. Senior Breakfast Bring your acceptance letters and scholarship notifications to Mrs. Manning by April 30th. These will be listed in the program for graduation. Students who do not turn in letters will not have the college acceptances or scholarships listed in the program. APRIL CALENDAR 4/2 4/3 4/4 Senior Breakfast will be held at 8:00 am on May 1st at Piccadilly Restaurant on Plank Road. The menu will be: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, biscuits, muffins, cheese grits or regular grits, fruit juice, soft drinks, coffee, and milk. During this gathering, graduation information will be presented. RSVP cards will be handed out after Easter. Students are invited to bring two (2) parents free of charge. Up to two (2) other tickets can be purchased for step-parents. The Senior Breakfast is for parents only. Win the Best Seats in the House At the Senior Breakfast, a drawing will be held for the 2 pews behind the Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Tickets will be $1 (cash only) and only available at the Senior Breakfast. Two winners will be drawn. (The pews in the drawing replace your current 10 seats and do not provide extra tickets.) 4/7 4/9 4/11 4/13 4/14 4/15 4/16 4/18 4/20 Graduation Practice 4/21 Graduation practice will be held following the Senior 4/22 Breakfast on May 1st. Following practice, graduation robes and tickets will be distributed. 4/23 Tuition and Fees All Seniors outstanding debts must by paid by April 24, in order to final exams or receive their cap gown.
