About the
Speakers:
Matthew Boswell, CPA, Manager (TBG)
Matthew is a Manager with TBG’s Healthcare/Tax-Exempt Division with 6 years of professional experience providing accounting, audit, and
consulting services to nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, and, independent and assisted living facilities in New York
State. Matthew’s consulting experience includes rate and reimbursement analyses, Medicaid and Medicare cost report preparation, appeals,
and rate projections. He has performed numerous benchmarking, projections, and operational analyses, as well as third party calculations.
Christine Chamberlain, Audit and Reimbursement Lead, National Government Services, Inc. (NGS)
Christine Chamberlain is a Lead in the Audit & Reimbursement (A&R) department at National Government Services, Inc. (NGS). She
graduated from Le Moyne College with an Integral Honors Degree and a B.S. in Accounting. She has been with Medicare since August 2000.
Her responsibilities include overseeing Medicare cost report receipt, tentative settlements, interim rate setting and other reimbursement related
issues. Christine is a member of the HFMA Central New York Chapter.
Kelley DeMonte, CPA, Principal (TBG)
Kelley is a Principal in TBG’s Healthcare/Tax Exempt Division. In this capacity, she serves as the audit engagement principal on numerous
tax-exempt, government and healthcare engagements, as well as employee benefit plans. Her primary area of expertise is accounting and
auditing for tax-exempt organizations. She is well versed in the unique accounting and reporting matters affecting tax-exempt entities.
Kelly Foster, NGS Audit and Reimbursement Senior, National Government Services, Inc. (NGS)
Kelly has worked in the Medicare field for 10 years. Her experience entails completing all types of desk reviews and the final settlement of
these reviews. Kelly also plans, directs, & controls provider audits. Other responsibilities include interim rate reviews, tentative cost report
reviews, and cost report wage index reviews. She also oversees the work of lower level associates as well as mentor associates to increase
their Medicare knowledge. Kelly graduated with a BS in Finance with a minor in Philosophy from Bentley College in Waltham, MA. Other
positions held prior to Medicare include a Pricing Analyst at State Street Corp in Boston, MA and a Lease Administrator for Pyramid
Management Co. in Syracuse, NY.
Donald Fry, Director, Risk Advisory Services, Western Area (KPMG, LLP)
Mr. Fry’s responsibilities focus nationally on the development and support of KPMG’s Medicare, Medicaid and other cost reimbursement and
compliance reporting software tools for hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home offices, and other health care providers as well as Medicare
and Medicaid Fiscal Intermediaries. He has over 34 years working for KPMG and predecessor firms, specializing in healthcare.
Mr. Fry graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a MS in Computer Science, MBA in Finance, and BBA in Finance.
He is a member of the Southern California Chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association, where he is a member of the
Government Programs Committee. He is a frequent speaker at HFMA seminars around the country.
Janine Mangione, CPA, Partner (TBG)
Janine is a Partner in TBG’s Healthcare/Tax-Exempt Division. Janine has serviced the healthcare market providing accounting, audit and
consulting services to nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, homecare, and independent and assisted living facilities in New York
State for 20 years. Janine regularly hosts training seminars for financial managers on topics such as accounting and auditing, Medicaid rate
review, cost report preparation, and third-parties. She works closely with many associations assisting with rate and reimbursement analyses.
Joseph W. Sellars, Director, Advisory Services (KPMG, LLP)
Mr. Sellars is a Director in KPMG LLP’s Healthcare Advisory Services practice in the Jacksonville office. He has over 35 years of experience in
the development of healthcare compliance reporting software tools and other applications to support healthcare financial management
functions.
Prior to his 30 years with KPMG, Mr. Sellars was a software developer and consultant with a Jacksonville-based health care consulting firm
that merged with KPMG in 1984.
Mr. Sellars received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Systems Science from the University of West Florida (Pensacola).
Mr. Sellars is an active member of the Florida Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. His work within HFMA includes
serving as President of the Florida Chapter during 1997-98 and extensive committee participation. He is also a frequent speaker at various
HFMA chapters’ meetings on the topic of current Medicare cost reporting form changes and requirements.
