cost programs serve over 2,000 young people annually. Our year ​
round middle school and high school programs combine competitive rowing with comprehensive academic support, with a focus on athletic success and college access for all. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for managing the collection, entry, maintenance, and evaluation of data at Row New York. Will work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Finance to implement efficient and effective systems in order to improve the accuracy of data across the organization. Finance ● Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; assist in tracking and reporting of receivables. ● Oversee staff credit card purchases, ensuring all receipts are submitted on a monthly basis. Distribute monthly expense coding document to staff, communicate deadlines for coding purchases to proper accounts. ● Enter and track all expenses and deposits in financial system, including payroll, staff credit cards, petty cash, and bank information on a timely basis. ● Oversee monthly staff and bank reconciliation process. Prepare monthly budget vs. actual reports for program directors. ● Assist in preparing financial reports, including cash flow reports and analysis. Ensure that financial reports for funders, the Board, and leadership team are accurate and available. ● Assist Director of Operations and Finance with annual budget process and yearly audit. Development ● With Development team, support creation of proposal and report budgets for external funders. ● Support management of government and foundation grants, tracking deadlines for grant submission and reporting. ● Work with Director of Development and Communications and Director of Operations and Finance on expense tracking for grant reporting purposes. ● Enter all gift and grant payments into both financial software and Salesforce on a timely basis. ● Prepare and send acknowledgements for donations in a timely manner. Salesforce ● Manage entry of important organizational information into Salesforce, including program metrics, participant and staff evaluations, human resource files, and financial and development information. Ensure that all information is up to date and accurate. ● Analyze program metrics, providing up­to­date reports to leadership in order to assess organizational progress toward stated academic, fitness, and social­emotional goals. ● Provide meaningful reports on metrics for use in grant applications and reports. ● Assist Director of Finance and Operations with Salesforce customization, including researching, designing and transferring all organization​
al processes into Salesforce. ● Provide support with Salesforce adoption and utilization among staff across the organization. Human Resources ● Oversee payroll process, ensuring that bi­weekly payroll is sent and received on time and reviewing payroll documents for accuracy. ● Communicate payroll deadlines with staff, review timesheets, and submit to Director of Programs for approval. ● Oversee administration of 403B retirement plan, ensuring that bi­weekly remittances are sent on time, employees are signed up and off­boarded according to proper procedures and timelines ● Ensure staff information is accurate and up to date for all employees, including initial onboarding forms, salary information, and eligibility for benefits. Maintain personnel records in compliance with state and local labor laws. ● Assist all new employees with on­boarding paperwork, benefits enrollment, employee handbooks, and orientation to office systems. ● Assist employees with all benefit plans and claims when needed. ● Ensure all job descriptions are up to date and available. Qualifications​
: ● Bachelor’s degree ● 2 year commitment to Row New York ● 1­2 years experience with non­profit finance and administration ● Strong references ● Must be detail oriented with the ​
ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Strong organizational skills ● Proven ability to analyze financial circumstances and provide financial recommendations to leadership team. Solid accounting and business sense, with the ability to analyze accuracy of numbers produced by others across the organization. ● Must be able to operate in a fast­paced organization and handle multiple accounts simultaneously. ● Proactive problem solver who demonstrates initiative and ability to work individually and on a team ● Ability to operate in a professional manner including proper attire, ethical behavior, and ●

strict confidentiality Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to work A sense of humor, tolerance for change, and a demonstrated ability to create a positive culture Strong oral communication and writing skills, ability to communicate with sensitivity Clean driver’s license Highly Desired Proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets. Experience with accounting software and Salesforce a plus. Compensation​
