Narrowboat Little Layla rugbyboats
rugbyboats 01327 342211 sales@rugbyboats.co.uk Little Layla is a 45ft traditional narrowboat but with an extra wide rear hatch offering greater outside space. The shell is by Paul Widdowson, a long established builder on our waterways, and fitted out by Witham Narrowboats whose quality of work is immediately evident in the extensive use of solid wood and custom built fitted units. Little Layla was launched in 2007 but it is in immaculate condition and looks like new both in and out. The exterior was professionally repainted by Spiderworks in 2014. The interior layout has been carefully planned and has a saloon at the fore end which has two single width dinettes that convert to two single berths if needed. An open plan galley follows with gas cooking and a 12v fridge. A corridor then leads off with a shower room to the right. Beyond the corridor opens out into the bedroom, which is a king size width cross bed with hanging cupboard space at either end. Finally there is the aft cabin, beneath the floor of which is a Nannidiesel Kubota base 37hp diesel engine (Kubota is the same engine that Beta Marine use). An extra wide hatch gives the stern a semi trad feel when open, thereby offering good outside space at the stern when cruising, but maximising internal covered space when moored up.
