Together with Hosper Sweden, Mandaworks and Tyrens we take part in a
parallel assignment investigating new development and densifying opportunities in central Alvik.

Stockholm is growing, and the city needs to plan for new housing, parks,
infrastructure and jobs for around 200,000 new residents until 2030. This
means that many interests interact on a relatively limited area.
The City’s Planning Department started in 2013 a development program
for Alvik, simultaneously with the Exploitation Office being commissioned
for the broadening of an earlier investigation around the same area. The
city is now investigating possibilities of creating an urban Alvik. Between
1500 and 3000 housing may be possible to create. The program area covers the district Alvik and parts of Tranebergsbron, Stora mossen, and
Ulvsunda.
