Program registration begins on April 1 and is on-going until classes are filled. Submit completed registration form on the back of this flyer to the John A.
Anderson Recreation Center at 111 N. Oceanside Rd. Membership card may be purchased at same time. All registration is taken on a first-come, first-served

BASEBALL SCHOOL –

June 29 – July 10 for boys ages 6-13 (No program 7/3)
Barasch Field, Park Avenue, Rockville Centre. 9:30am – 1:30pm.
This daily instructional program will stress the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, fielding and base-running. Players will select
and take part in daily position workshops, in addition to training in all aspects of baseball.
FEE: $350 for residents and $375 for non-residents. Family discount applies.

Video Game Animation: Dive into the world of video game animation by creating characters that dance, sing and interact with one

another. Add sound and music clips, using an innovative programming language. For kids K-2 grade.
Digital Photography and Me - For grades K-2, Digital photography offers young learners a wonderful tool to explore, create and learn
about the world. Create your own book, story and unique project using our special editing software. Offered as a 1 hour per week
class for 6 weeks.
COMPUTER EXPLORERS program registration is on a first-come, first-served basis directly through COMPUTER EXPLORERS.
KINDER-CRAFTS: Kindergarteners will explore various media in an environment geared to encouraging his/her

GLAM CAMP - Calling all girls! Join us for a totally fun week of Glammed-Up Fun! Girls will be thrilled making and taking home their own
kid friendly Skin Products, Nail Polish made from scratch and Trendy Accessories. They will get totally Glamified with Fun Hair Styles,
Trendy Fashion Advice, Age Appropriate Skin Care Habits and a Fashion Show at the end of the week. We’ll play games indoors and out,
have artsy fun creating labels and learning how to market a product. New projects for returning “Glampers” and fun for your not so “girly”
girls as well. Open to all girls up to age 13. Bring a friend and you both get a gift.

SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUES
for boys’ and girls’ teams for grades 5 and up, as well as adult teams. Information and
roster forms are available at the Recreation Center or email rvcrec@gmail.com or call 516-678-9238. League games are played weekday
evenings at Centennial Park. Strict deadlines apply, limited number of teams accepted.
SUMMER BIRTHDAY PARTIES (RollAround, Just For Fun, Sports, Mad Science, LEGO, Edible Art) are available Monday thru
Friday 4:15-5:45pm (June 29 – Aug. 14) and on Saturdays 10:00am, 12:00, 2:00pm ( July 11 – Aug. 15). Inquire at the office for times.

WILLIAM P. HICKEY AMERICAN LEGION MEMORIAL FIELD COMPLEX – Located on Sunrise Highway between Morris and N.
Forest Avenues. Facilities include: paddleball wall, Little League and Girls’ Softball fields, sitting area.
MILL RIVER RVC CENTENNIAL PARK – Located on the corner of S. Park Avenue and Chester Street. Facilities include 4 official
basketball courts with lights, playground, river overlooks, soccer field, baseball and softball fields, sitting area, walking and
jogging paths.
CHILDREN’S PARK – Adjacent to the Recreation Center on No. Oceanside Rd. Facility includes state-of-the-art playground with
separate areas for ages 2-5 and 6-9; dolphin sprinkler, shaded picnic & sitting area.
VETERAN’S PARK – Located adjacent to the Recreation Center. Facilities include 5 Har-tru tennis courts, 2 basketball courts,
handball/paddleball wall, playing field, sitting area, measured jogging track.
REV. MORGAN DAYS PARK – Off Maine Avenue near Peninsula Blvd. Facilities include 2 official basketball courts, state-of-theart playground, multi-purpose court, Little League Baseball/Softball/Soccer field.
PETER F. BRADY VILLAGE GREEN – Located on the corner of Lee and Maple Avenues. Facility includes passive park, gazebo,
sitting area and SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL. The Village Green closes at 9:00pm.
STATE SENATOR DEAN SKELOS SPORTS COMPLEX- Peninsula Blvd, just south of Southern State Parkway. Girls’ softball,
