Managers now need to be fully attuned to the culture, service and competitive aspects of the sector.
Whilst studying the Diploma, you will learn about the service industry in general, basic hotel
operations and basic management and accounting skills.

Students must successfully complete all 8 subjects in the Diploma and meet relevant entry criteria to articulate to the Griffith University
Bachelor degree.
Diagram is based on a 3 year Bachelor degree, studied full-time. A 4 year program will require an additional 2 semesters/ 1 year of full-time
study.
Students commencing study in QIBT semesters 1 or 2, will be eligible for entry to 2nd year Griffith for GU semester 1 2016 (based on full-time
study mode).

Students completing the Diploma of Hotel Management may be required to undertake some Saturday classes as part of their timetable. For
more information please contact a QIBT Academic Advisor.
Some exams may be held in the evenings and on Saturdays.
A limited number of classes will be offered after hours. Some students may need to consider classes between 5.30pm and 9.30pm as part of
their timetable, if daytime classes are unavailable. Students interested in taking classes after 5.00pm should consult a QIBT Academic
Advisor.

related Griffith program providing their rank is greater than or equal to the current QTAC cut-off for that program.
