Faith Daggs, MD, NFPMC is an OB/GYN at the Center for Women’s Health in Camp Hill, PA, specializing in the applications of medical and surgical NaProTECHNOLOGY. She assisted in the development of the Chastity in Formation program for the Diocese of Harrisburg and is a Medical Consultant for the Morning Star Pregnancy Services in Harrisburg. In addition, Dr. Daggs is a frequent speaker on prolife, chastity, marriage, abstinence and Theology of the Body. Amy Grawey, MD, NFPMC is a family physician practicing Breastfeeding Medicine and NaProTechnology. Dr. Grawey completed her family medicine residency at St. John’s Mercy in St. Louis. In 2010 she pursued additional training in lactation and breastfeeding medicine and became a board-certified lactation consultant in 2011. Dr. Grawey completed the Pope Paul VI double program, becoming a NFP medical consultant in 2012 and Fertility Care Practitioner in 2013. She owns Little Flower Family Medicine, is married and has 3 young children. Thomas W. Hilgers, MD, Dip. ABOG, ABLS, SRS, CFCMC, CFCE is an OB/GYN specializing in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, and Founder/Director of the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in Omaha, NE. He is a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life and co-developer of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and NaProTECHNOLOGY. He is the author of the textbook, “The Medical and Surgical Practice of NaProTECHNOLOGY.” Margaret Howard, MAM, CFCE is Program Director of FertilityCare Services Limited Education Programs, and directs or serves as faculty for several practitioner education programs in the United States and abroad. She is an Active Member of the AAFCP, and serves on the Third Party Reimbursement and Membership Committees of the Academy. Abby Johnson, BS, MA is an American pro-life activist. Johnson had previously worked at Planned Parenthood as a clinic director, but resigned in October 2009. She later stated that she resigned after watching an abortion on ultrasound. Johnson is the chief research strategist for Live Action, a prolife organization that is known for conducting sting operations against Planned Parenthood clinics. She holds a B.S. (psychology) from Texas A&M University and an M.A. (counseling) from Sam Houston State University. Gus Lloyd has spent most of his life on the radio. For the past eight years, he has hosted “Seize the Day,” heard every weekday morning on the Catholic Channel on Sirius XM 129. He and his wife Michelle have been married almost 35 years and have four children and two grandchildren. Sister Renée Mirkes, OSF, PhD is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Manitowoc, WI. She serves as director of the Center for NaProEthics [the ethics division of the Pope Paul VI Institute, Omaha, NE] and was editor of its newsletter, The NaProEthics Forum, from 1996 to 2002. She received her masters degree in moral theology from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX (1988) and her doctorate in theological ethics from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI (1995). Sr. Renée brings experience in clinical ethics as well as broad experience in bioethics through a 19871990 research fellowship with the National Catholic Bioethics Center (formerly the Pope John Center). Sister Renée was appointed to the Nebraska Bioethics Advisory Commission by University of Nebraska President L. Dennis Smith in 2000. She is a founding member and serves on the board of Nebraska Coalition for Ethical Research. Theodore O’Donnell, MD, CFCMC is a retired BoardCertified physician who for 40 years specialized in family practice. He actively practiced NaProTechnology as a Certified Creighton Model Medical Consultant from 1976 until his retirement in 2014 in East Wenatchee, Washington. A graduate of the University Of California Medical School at Irvine, Dr. O’Donnell spent 8 years in the US Navy, with two years as a flight surgeon in Guam. He received his Family Practice training at Camp Pendleton, CA, and spent the next ten years in private practice in California, before re-locating to the Wenatchee area in 1991. There he was also a clinical instructor at the University of Washington School Of Medicine training medical students and physician assistants in the art and science of medicine. He continues to reside in East Wenatchee, Washington with his bride Frances Ann. They have been married for 40 years, have four children, and are proud grandparents of twelve grandchildren. Michael Parker, MD, NFPMC is a native to the central Ohio area. He attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating with his doctorate degree in 1989. Dr. Parker then completed his residency training at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Parker has served as the Chairman of the Performance Improvement Committee, Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the Peer Review Committee. He also has an active role in the education of resident physicians in the Family Practice and OB/GYN programs. He also has received additional training as a Natural Family Planning Medical Consultant through The Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in affiliation with Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. AAFCP Annual Meeting 2015 | REGISTRATION PACKET7 Faculty Ann Prebil, RN, BSN, CFCE is a co-developer of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and a faculty member of the Pope Paul VI Institute Education Program. She is currently the Chair of the Commission on Accreditation for the AAFCP. Currently she is the Supervisor for the Department of FertilityCare Services at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, St. Louis, MO Joseph B. Stanford, MD, MSPH, CFCMC, is professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, and adjunct professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has been the principal investigator for several studies based on the Creighton Model FertilityCare System, and has published many peer-reviewed papers based on Creighton Model data. Dr. Stanford is past president of the American Academy of FertilityCare Professionals, and a board member of the International Institute of Restorative Reproductive Medicine. He has served on United States scientific advisory committees for the NICHD (National institute of Child Health and Human Development) and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Dr. Stanford is the recipient of several honors, including the annual research paper award given by the American Academy of FertilityCare Professionals. Shira Wise, M.Ed, CFCE is a FertilityCare educator, practitioner, and program director for Three Rivers FertilityCare Center and Practitioner Education Program in Kennewick, WA. She worked to set up the first hospital based FertilityCare center in Washington State at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, WA with Dr. Elma deLeon, MD, CFCMC. She was the center director there for four years until hospital administration made a budgetary decision to discontinue all OBGYN services at its hospital including FertilityCare services. The center is now independent again, and still serves it’s 450+ client base with four practitioners on staff. She and her husband have been married for 14 years and have four NaPro miracles ages 11, 9, 7 and almost 5. The CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare System and the new women’s health science of NaProTECHNOLOGY have been developed through a research and education effort coordinated and directed by Thomas W. Hilgers, MD, Director of the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction. Faculty members do not financially benefit.
