Why choose RICS for Executive
Education?
Forward-thinking leaders in the real estate, property
and construction industries are turning to Executive
Education Programmes as a powerful tool to stay ahead.
Up until now, the majority of executive education programmes across the world have
been designed to improve general leadership skills and focus on business topics
such as finance, marketing and business development.
But now, in response to growing global industry demand, RICS has created
a course solely dedicated to developing the leadership skills necessary to work
in the real estate, property and construction industries.
As a leading professional body in the built environment sector, RICS is ideally
positioned to provide this unique global solution.
Who should attend?
The course is suitable for senior professionals with substantial experience in the built
environment including developers, surveyors, investors, local authorities and real estate
owners. Typical attendees will be executives, directors and senior managers, one or
two reporting lines below CEO.
Whether you are looking to develop your real estate technical knowlegde or your
leadership skills, this is the course for you. Combat two daily challenges in one
inclusive course.

“Organisations do not succeed
purely on the technical knowledge
of their people. Effective leadership
and clear strategic ambitions are
essential. Professionals need to
put as much energy into equipping
themselves with leadership and
management tools, as keeping
their technical skills up to date.”

“The development of the new Moorfields Eye Hospital is
literally a once in a life time project and because of this,
it was imperative to think in terms of whole life assets and
to plan across the whole timeline. This involved developing
a 60 year financial model to demonstrate affordability,
predicated upon activity and throughput, space requirements,
cashflows, operational risk rating and programme.
Experience shows us that over a 30 year time horizon,
a Design-Build-Operate spend is 10% capital and 90%
operational spend. It is therefore essential that a holistic
approach is taken to planning and executing this project and
the key to successful delivery is learning lessons from others.
The RICS International Certificate in Leadership for Real Estate
Development is the first course to advocate a holistic approach
to real estate development and will help stakeholders to
develop the necessary knowledge and skills to make such
projects a success.”
