E-Blast Newsletter - Bellingham High School
April 17, 2015 Greetings Red Raider Families! Important Links Now that spring is here, it is time to get outside and engage in some exercise. Research has shown that exercise improves cognition in two ways: Exercise increases oxygen flow into the brain, which reduces brainbound free radicals. One of the most interesting findings of the past two decades is that an increase in oxygen is always accompanied by an uptick in mental sharpness. Exercise acts directly on the molecular machinery of the brain itself. It increases neurons’ creation, survival, and resistance to damage and stress.
