OA Policy Compliance for NSERC, SSHRC, and CIHR Grant Recipients What are the requirements? Plan Ahead The harmonized Tri-Agency Open Access (OA) Policy on Publications requires all Agency funded grant recipients (NSERC and SSHRC: awarded May 1, 2015 and onwards) to make any peer-reviewed journal publications freely accessible via the Internet within twelve months of publication. ••• BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR GRANT: Determine if the journals you want to publish in are OA compliant.
