Conference Description
This course is an introductory level
lecture/lab course that will explore
the differential diagnosis and physical therapy management of cervicogenic dizziness, cervicogenic headaches, and whiplash associated disorders utilizing the best available research. The content will include didactic material with an emphasis on
lab based skills of examination techniques, manual therapy techniques,
specific exercise, and the use of kinesiotape to treat this population.
There will be a focus on manual skill
to ensure that each participant
demonstrates safe and effective handling skills.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists and
Physical Therapy Assistants
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants
will be able to:
1. Discuss the history of the diagnoses of cervicogenic dizziness, cervicogenic headaches,
and whiplash associated disorders.
2. Identify tests and measures to complete differential diagnosis evaluation and treatment
of cervicogenic dizziness, cervicogenic headaches, and whiplash associated disorders.
3. Perform an examination including special
tests of persons with cervicogenic dizziness.
4. Discuss the evidence to support (3) treatment
interventions for persons with cervicogenic
dizziness.
5. Demonstrate performance of (3) treatment
interventions for those with cervicogenic dizziness, cervicogenic headaches, and whiplash
associated disorder.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Patricia Crane, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Trish has over ten years experience working with the
outpatient orthopedic population and has focused her
expertise on manual therapy interventions for the
spine. She has completed her fellowship in manual
therapy from Regis University and is passionate about
teaching therapists evidence-based interventions to
improve outcomes. She is an accomplished teacher
and has published several articles related to orthopedic
physical therapy care.

prior to the course, there is a 25% non-refundable administrative processing fee. For cancellations up to three (3)
days prior to the course, there is a 50% non-refundable
administrative processing fee. For cancellations less than
three (3) days prior to the course, there are no refunds.
