How long can your story be?
• Your story might only have 4000 characters in total.
• To submit your story, you will have to create a ”New Topic” in the ”Write Like a Ninja
Contest” forum of the LEGO message boards
• Each post on the message boards has a limit of 2000 characters.
• You will therefore have to split your contest entry into 2 parts.
• Please check out the following pages with a step by step instruction on how to submit your
story.

Go to the ”Write Like a Ninja Contest” forum on the LEGO message boards:

• Please use the SUBJECT
field (1) for the title of
your story.
• The BODY field (2) should
be used for your story. It
is best to directly start
your story to stay within
your character limit.
• Write your story until you
want to make the break
for your next chapter or
your 2,000 characters are
used.

We have one extra tip for
you:
• When you copy and paste
from a document (because
that is where you prepared
for the contest for
example), the message
boards will add additional
characters for the copy
and paste command.
• It is therefore best to
type your story directly
into the BODY field
(1)and not use copy and
paste to add text.

something like:
”continued” or ”second
part of the story” here.

the forum
• You entered your story in
two posts with a maximum
of 4000 characters.
• Congratulations, the first
step is successfully finished.
Your story now counts as
contest entry.
• The Jury will judge your
story at the end of the
contest. And who knows,
maybe you will be one of the
”Master of Ninjago Story
Writing”
