features the world’s highest compression ratio
of 14:1 — higher even than that of a Formula 1
engine. SKYACTIV-G 2.0l 145 PS with a 4-2-1

Beneath the stunning lines of the Mazda6 is an equally impressive array of intelligent and active safety
features, designed to leave you relaxed to enjoy the drive. In busy traffic, Smart City Brake
Support* (SCBS) monitors the gap between you and the vehicle ahead. And applies the
brakes if you get too close. While at night the Advanced Front Lighting System** better
illuminates the road ahead, and avoids dazzling other road users. Not only does
Mazda6 take great care of its looks, it offers outstanding protection to you
and your passengers too.
Rear Vehicle Monitoring (RVM)***
RVM warns you of a vehicle behind the car
entering the detection zone by activating a
door mirror-mounted warning light on the
relevant side of the car. If you then indicate
prior to turning in that direction, the warning
light begins flashing and an audible alert
sounds. (Operates at speeds over 30 km/h)
High Beam Control (HBC)***
Maximises the use of high beam for improved
night vision. Automatically switches the
headlights from high beam to low beam when
other traffic is detected. When the road is
clear, the system automatically switches to
high beam again.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
DSC enhances stability in critical driving
situations, regardless of the road surface the
car is driven on. The system, working in
conjunction with ABS, reduces engine power
when necessary and carefully regulates
braking pressure on individual wheels,
ensuring that the car can get round corners or
obstacles without oversteering or
understeering — while maintaining maximum
traction and stability. TCS (Traction Control
System) makes sure that the wheels do not
spin on, for example, loose surfaces, at speeds
of up to 18 mph / 30 km/h, by regulating the
torque of the engine.
Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)***
Allows you to set the car’s speed and maintain
it without using the accelerator pedal. The
system uses a radar sensor to monitor the
vehicle in front and adjust the speed of your
car to keep it at a preset distance.
Smart City Brake Support (SCBS)*
Take the stress out of city driving with Smart
City Brake Support. Designed to help avoid or
minimise the effects of low-speed collisions,
the laser-based system continually monitors
the gap and closing speed to the vehicle in
front, and applies the brakes if a collision is
likely. (Operates at speeds up to 30 km/h)
Lane Departure Warning System
(LDWS)***
Designed to warn the driver if the vehicle
inadvertently strays from its lane. A frontview camera monitors the road ahead and
calculates the car’s position relative to the
lane markings. Should the system detect that
the car is about to unintentionally move out of
its lane, it sends an audible warning through
the speakers to alert the driver.
Adaptive Front lighting System
(AFLS)**
Our Adaptive Front lighting System, with
bi-xenon headlights, points the headlights in
your direction of travel to illuminate the way
forward during cornering at night.

i-stop Smart Idling Stop System
Reduces fuel consumption and emissions by
shutting down the engine when the car comes
to a standstill. Unlike other systems, i-stop
effectively ‘pauses’ the engine rather than
stopping it, so it’s ready to restart within just
0.35 seconds in a smooth and fuel-efficient
way. Standard on all models both petrol and
diesel engines.
i-ELOOP*
Making its debut in the Mazda6 is our smart
regenerative braking system that uses a
capacitor to store power. When the vehicle
decelerates, i-ELOOP (short for ‘Intelligent
Energy Loop’) converts the car’s kinetic
energy into electricity and uses it to operate
various electric components, thereby
reducing the load on the engine. By
harnessing energy that would otherwise be
wasted, the technology boosts fuel economy
by 5 to 10 percent.

support for five. The driver’s seat has six-way adjustment as standard, while the steering
wheel can be adjusted for height and reach, so you can always find the position that’s
right for you. Versatile 60:40 split rear seats fold in a single movement. And add
a new dimension to Mazda6’s comfortable, quiet and accommodating
interior.
Space and versatility
When it comes to load-carrying, the Mazda6 tourer is in a class of its
own. With a load volume of between 506 and 1644 litres, the luggage
compartment offers a generous amount of room, despite the sporty
lines of the roof.
Karakuri seating system
Mazda6 tourer’s Karakuri seating system features 60:40 split
independent rear seats with a remote fold-down function. As well as
comfortably accommodating three adults, the rear seats can be folded
flat in one single, easy movement to provide a large and level load floor.
The easy-to-use tonneau cover protects luggage from inquisitive eyes
and can be stored under the wagon’s luggage compartment floor when
not required.
